ok, there have been a lot of topics about boards of canada and they're numerous subliminal messages.... but I just realized one that I've never heared anyone mention before:
Music Has The Right To Children was released on April 20, 1998, the day after the 5-year anniversary of the Waco incident, April 19, 1993.... and I know that can't be a coincidence, as there have been so many other BoC branch davidian references.... hmmm....
just thought that was cool :)

except that he wasn't ever a real member of boc at all, just someone who knew them at school apparently and who helped with playing keyboards live in early shows. in fact he only took up writing 'idm'-ish stuff about 3 years ago. prior to that he was doing mainstream dance. oh yes, i'm afraid so.

yes, there are definately remnants of a cheesy element in his music.. i'm not too fond of the percussion in it. my favs are 'arctica' and 'pylonesque'... more boardsy too :)

another thing i thought about is how Magic Window is all soundless and how Geogaddi is 66 minutes and 6 seconds (and you know, people mention the whole number of the beast). so i figure magic window is just a filler to get the album up to the right length (66 minutes, 6 seconds) and that it's just much easier to make a track the right length with no sound than make a track the right length with sound.
