Well here I am, 20 years old, and I find myself becoming
less amused with drinking. Especially even wth drunk people.

They are so witless and stupid, drinking untill they cant
walk. Not making proper sentences and talking too loud. Have
I outgrown drinking already? It just seems so....
sub-human.

How do you guys feel about this?

i love my booze... it's fun to loose your mind.... it's no
more sub-human than being stuck in front of a computer
screen for all hours

OH MY GOD!!! you have found out the secret!

drunk people are NOT more charming/intelligent/funny than
sober people!

this all seems pretty obvious.

*hic*......

actually I just came back from the pub, very under
influence. But I think, if you get aggressive dont drink./..
(luckily I dont). But excessive drinking is a bad thing to
do.
Once in a while I think people are allowed to freak out on
alcohol.

Sub human, indeed. But sometimes I need to tackle my brain,
reboot you know....

I hope you understand...

signed: A quite non-sober C738...

; )

it really depends on the people

really

,,,

no really im serious

when you stop having a good time, you've either

a) matured above your friends, so wait itll yer 21 and start
going to bars to meet other ppl (sports bars are fun)

b) switch to the Colt-45 40oz.

but what do i know, im 19

Drink with people you like to drink with, or dont drink...

And dont drink to forget things......
I just got drunk tonight because we had a good time (and the
keg had to be emptied....)

you will get over THAT real quickly though...the older you
get, it becomes more common in more places, so you learn to
have a place in your heart for it like me. =)

You know how I know when I'm drunk?

That's when I try to put on ab3 and I play the wrong side of
the cd.

Pretty wicked remixes on there though...
You guys should try it out some time ;-)

i prefer a good hit of the weed smoke over beer, to an
extent.

i like the music and chillin out, but if you are with a LOT
of people, alky is much better.

stoned, too many ppl can get annoying. when drunk,
everyones annoying and it dont matter

I know what you're saying sometimes when all my friends are
messed up and Im the only one sober I think why the hell
would I want to be like that...But like Qrtr said, drink
with people that you like to drink with, avoid the
rest. Sometimes it nice to have a few drinks with friends
and act like an idiot

if that makes sense

Please... do no drink milk... Drink water.

water is a fluid that is used to transport toxin (alcohol)
out of your bloodstream.

Drink loads and loads and loads of water... not milk...
please no milk....

only with cornflakes in it...

drunk yourself.

my mate once drank 12 cans of stellar, dropped acid, and
shat on his korg prophecy! it was brilliant, we cleaned it
off and STILL had to use spray deodarant on it to stop it
from stinking... still worked though.

i'm not joking btw

Shit and here I am a few hours later, half drunk. God damn
it. Why is it so easy to drink alchol. I wish they would
make the process of getting drunk more complicated like
doing herioine, where you have to tie off and what not. That
would turn me from drinking a bit more often.

About the drinking with people you dont like to drink with,
good oberservation. But sometimes you cant help where you
end up drinking and there are always people that will be
there you may not like. Personally I'm quite bad for that as
my first impression of most people is usually bad. Everyone
seems to be the same these days.

I figure when you first meet somebody they are just putting
on their "meet a person for the first time" act, which is
pretty much almost not what they are like at all.

Ahh ranting....

lol yeah they are such hicks (or hillbillies, or bay wops).
Always having something to prove. People like that usually
lack something in their life that they need to fill the void
with mindless violence.

About 2 hours ago, my room-mate was really drunk but he just
gets goofy, wobbling around everywhere saying funny slurred
stuff, followed by "man I'm so wasted". Hes the kind of
drunk I like.

Hmm, for some reason I just dont find any joy in drinking
and ending up acting like a fool... Nope!

I guess its okay for people to drink to some extent
(although I dont drink at all), but when people drink for
the purpose of getting drunk... Oy!

never seem to do it without drinking. Does that count?

what reason would people have for drinking aside from
getting drunk?

seriously, it's not like the stuff tastes like candy (ok
some of it does ;-P)

the key is moderation.. in all things... even moderation in
your moderation (i.e.: a binge once in a while is just good
clean fun ;-) )

I don't like alcohol and what it does to most people. It
paralyses your mind. The only time I drink some is some
Chianti with Italian food.
Some good pot does the trick for me. ;)

Another solution is to get a bottle of whiskey and then get
drunk and wallow in your own self pity....
Or: Get drunk with women! It's a lot funner that way unless
they act stupid to.
But drinking has gotten boring for me as well. It just
seems rather pointless and I'm only 20. I don't even think
I'm gonna drink on my 21st birthday.

alcohol is fine, but as mentioned above, moderation is the
key. its fun to go out and get a little bit squiffy, but
going out and getting wasted all the time is just pointless.
its like all these 13/14 year olds who get a bottle of vodka
and sit in a park every friday and get wasted. stupid. i
dunno what its like in the rest of the world, like usa, but
in uk most people go to pubs from 16 generally. legally uve
gotta be 18 but hey. me and my mates only get properly drunk
on someones birthday:) i drink because i like the taste and
because its a great way to socialise. pubs are relaxing.

i don't see the prroblem in getting pissed any chance you
get to be honest. its yourr own life, and if yourr life is
shit, its an escape forr a while.
