Has this been mentioned? (I tried searching but it didn't
work...).

Richard D James album in at no. 55, SAW 85-92 at 92 in all
time 100 albums list.
There some interesting stuff in there, not least the White
Stripes album, not yet released, in at 74.

yeah it used to be alright but now it's just shitty rock
bands doing stuff done 20 years ago or whatever - the only
innovation they have is in their haircuts

i hate how the "lifestyle" matters more than music now.
and that list is such bullshit. there are plenty of lesser
known albums that should have been on there. so much for
expanding general musical knowledge.

Why do they bother with these lists?

Q is even worse; I think they have a Top 50/100
singles/albums/uk albums/rock albums/dace tunes etc of All
Time! list of some sort in every single issue now.

yeah, most mags do this because the music "industry" is
shallow and music writers are all idiots.

it's just a simple way to deal with things - i mean why deal
with the present when you can comfortably talk about the
past down the pub with your journalist mates and repeat and
repeat the same tired cliches exhalting the same tired gods

yes too apoint but there are alot of writers and enthusiasts
pushing things along - most of the times editors ignore them
- slot of it comes down to who they paid for lunch and who's
advertising in the mags though...

hardly the way to push music out of the stagnacy its
currently in - just looking back not even even looking
sideways..
