You know those damn blue Real Audio files for (shudder) Real Player? Well, is it possible to save them as a sound file? I just found an awesome version of the VU's Sister Ray, but the damned thing is RA. The file is 51 bytes, so I guess it's a link to somewhere, I don't know how this fucking Satanic Real-Shit works. |

Yeah, I'm lucky enough to be able to just change the recording device from line in - to - WAVE. So I can record anything thats comming out of my soundcard directly into cool edit. w00t |

The 51k file is a ram file which has simple code in it which links to the real file which is a rm file. So what you do is you find the file in your tempory internet files and then open it up in note pad. You will then see the actual address as to where the rm file (the file which is the actual music) is located. You can then download the file from that address to your computer. |

The ram file is there just to facilitate streaming otherwise the other file (that is the rm file) just downloads onto your temp file and plays from there. Its possible it may not work but I'm pretty certain it will. I guess we'll just see. |

That particular ram file can be downloaded directly I have a program called unrealone which is a hacked version of Windows Media Player that will play real audio and video files, so I never have to go anywhere near the bastard real software |
