BoC video.. director?

I was thinking which of the big shot music video directors
would be the most suited for a BoC music video, with that
contest that's going on at the watmm site. mark romanek's
video for johnny cash's new NIN cover came to mind because
it has all that super 8 footage and the clips that look like
they were recorded very close to a television screen. some
of his stuff is superficial though.

I vote...

...BoC!

Seeing as they originally started making music to accompany
thier movies.

I think if they released their own videos... everyone would
die from a massive orgasm...

or we'd kill each other with simultaneous orgasms. but ya,
the idea of them releasing their videos is cool

I'm seriously considering doing a music video for "eagle in
your mind" for my Field Production class. I'd make it very
nature-related.

I'd do a video for sunshine recorder and the entire thing
would be a sort of montage of what happens in indirect paths
of sunlight. like when there'll be a bit of sun coming in
through a window--what's happening on the other side of that
window.
Or there'd be some buildings you're driving by and how the
sun shines through. things like that.
but I really don't think BOC's music lends itself to video
at all by any means.

you guys know about the video contest at watmm?

Its too late for entries... but there was a make your own
BoC video contest.

the winner is picked by BoC themselves, and the prize is an
autographed limited edition geogaddi.

They are yet to announce the winner... but I think you can
view the videos there...

I'd love to see a good video for a boc track... their music
is so visually stimulating to me it just seems like it could
really be something special... id love to see some of the
nature videos they supposidly did with their music back in
the day, and I'de love to get a camera and just take some
raw footage and dub some boc tracks over it... there's some
really great places around here where I think I could make
some awsome nature videos with tracks like Eagle in your
Mind, Pete Standing Alone, XYZ, and Hi Scores... in fact,
this is a project I'm very interested in and would love to
do... I think I may actually do it...

god I love boc

haha... hype williams, that would be an interesting video to
see

the video contest has likely been discussed a lot, I was
asking which music video director of the established ones
comes closest to what you think would capture their style?

i made a video for 'wildlife analysis' last year...

in may last year there was a freak snow flurry and i
redorded it on video. it also involved several overcast
shots.... and one shot of a fractured sunset through the
woods... ooh i'm gonna watch it right now :)

but i didnt want to upload it on wattm...

BOC are currently looking at the videos and will announce a
winner soon. Some of the videos are amazing, and the winning
video will be posted on the site.
