what usb midi controllers do you guys reccomend, within the
range of $150-$250??

also consider such things as compatability issues with
windows XP, and prerequisite of USB 2.0 which my hardware
does not support. do the keys detect velocity? does it have
assignable rotaries? external accessories? software bundle?

i do not put up with tiny-ass LCD displays

thank you

usb 2 isn?t really going to do that much for midi... I got
an M-audio Oxygen 8 controller - great for use with a
PowerBook, they (m-audio) got more fullsize models as well,
ask zeus - he seems to have both the oxy 8 and a bigger one
too...

yeah, I got the oxygen for live use (2 octaves, 8 assingable
knobs)

Then I have The Radium, for home use (5 octaves, 8
assingable knobs, and 8 assignable sliders).

The radium is roughly $230, I beleive. I bought it off of
www.samash.com

Oh yeah, and they both have pitchbend and mod wheels.

But really, there is alot more you can do with them... I
just havent gotten that indepth with them. But yeah. highly
reccomend either... depending on your needs (portable or
not)

Good luck! :)

i appreciate all of the input & info, zeus, phiz, portland,
and avort

the oxygen8 looks simple, easy, and is in my price range.
looks pretty funky, too. im correct that it doesnt come with
a software bundle?

m-audio is a great company

they pimp reason live, and native instruments (I think?)

You wont be dissapointed.

And yes, the oxygen is perfect for reason... all those knobs
in reason, and now you can use them in real time!
