Wednesday was my 21st birthday, so I had to make it something special! I started with a nice breakfast . I never eat breakfast! I really enjoyed it. I should do this more! Then, I had to go to class for two hours, cos I didn't go for three weeks.... It was superboring but only two hours. In the afternoon I went to Brussels , to see this exhibition by two of my favourite artists : Pierre et Gilles. No one knows them probably,( do you?)but that doesn 't matter. I enjoyed to see all my favourite works by them after knowing them for years . I bought a huge poster with one of their works. Then I met some friends of mine and after going for a drink , we went to theb Ancienne Belgique (=concert hall) to se ... AMON TOBIN!!! We arrived at eight, and then, we found out there were three more groups playing before Tobin, and it had started at seven.. GOD DAMN! We missed Venetian snares. They added him to the line up on tuesday , so we didn't know he was playing... : ( Anyways, the rest of the evening was fantastic! We first saw Eavesdropper, Belgian talent! Then, there was Boom bip and Doze one , who I liked more than Amon Tobin himself!They also had the most amazing visuals! never seen before! They made me think of Lemon jelly. The visuals AND the music! Amon Tobin was very good! Exactly what I expected! We were on the second row. He started with verbal, and then he started a mix of samples , songs and ..noise ! I even heard some squarepusher far far away. When we left, we spoke some with Boom Bip, who is a very nice guy! I'm going to buy his records! I had a very nice day! |
