Has anyone else heard seven up? I had a chance t sit down and give it the ol sample. It's bizarre... but in a good way. Like ......a soap opera on heavy hallucinogens or something.
It was a different sound on the rephlex label. Which is nice. I wasn't sure what to expect, so i just let the music be itself and come to me.
Pleasant outcome!
Questions comments happy thoughts.....

the album is much better imo. the new(ish) EP has one really good track (track 1) and the rest are pretty average.

i disagree - i think the ep is much more polished and catchy - the music is much better -the previous stuff was just a bit annoying

but the new stuff just carried on where the album left off, it did nothing new
and the biggest enjoyment i got from it was the originality and fucked-upness of the album

Sounds a bit like the soundtrack to Monkey or something. Sounds pretty fresh from the samples on the Rephlex site. I'd be very tempted to purchase this.

But what ive heard, the first one just kinda sounds like hes bought like loads of radios and played them on different frequencies and managed to catch all the cheesy sayings whilst throwing in a break here and there
i still really wanna get it :)

I want 'You Can't Help Liking' after hearing the samples on Warp. The EP is great, It's not really anything I can admit to loving and playing all the time (Tho I did play the first track a load of times and still love it.) But it kinda has a nice mellow feel to it so it's nice for me to play on a Sunday when I'm winding down with a spliff and a coffee. Not 100% my type of thing but a very much appreciated addition to my ever growing Rephlex collection. :> I want to hear One Step now. :>

I like the PP Roy and Goon collaboration. Mellow and nice. I've been after the first Global Goon album that Rephlex put out but I'm not having any luck finding that. I'd like to start at the beginning and work forward to getting to hear it.

got to disagree again dude - it sounds like it's really moved on - it's alot fuller, better made, the songs are more fully formed and there is a wider viber - the fiorst o one sound like a kind of lo-fi timabland whilst four cowboys is kinda cartoony country and western - it's much better!

the shock value had gone because i'd heard (and loved) the style previously on the album, which is why its not so immediate. but it's nice enough, i still like it.
