We Are The Music Makers | Volume One

First off, apologies for the spam, but anyone who makes
their own electronic music or likes good electronic music
should be aware that our first compilation is now available
for preorder at http://records.watmm.com - there are audio
files available to listen to as well, and this is not a CDR
- this is a professionally produced CD with a run of 1000
copies, and the first 100 preorders get a 3" bonus CD
containing exclusive tracks not found on the compilation.

Thanks for your time, and patronage!

Btw, I still don't know HOW you made this CD. What was the
transfer method between artists and you? Was it mp3?

I've heard bits of it when the competition was on.
I think.

It was really good.

how can i do that?

offline Joyrex from watmm.com (United States) on 2003-02-25 12:25 [#00570690]

You can get international money orders at currency
exchanges, banks, etc. The address is on the link above.

Nacmat - if you ordered, then you are one of the first 100 -
the product code will change once all the preorders are
filled (there's only 100 available, and those 100 will get a
free 3" bonus CD containing exclusive tracks not on the
compilation.)

Skyfarmer - Mp3s were sent in/made for the voting of which
tracks would appear, and now the artists who will be
appearing on the comp are sending me redbook audio masters
burned at 2x, from which a master compilation will be made,
and from that the glass master used to press the actual CDs
will be made.

Tits: What are you on about now? I post news regularly, as
well as answer emails (I answered several of your
repeatedly).

the amon tobin one i sent a couple weeks ago.. i never got
an email, i at least expected a "thanks but this isn't IDM
enough" email response.. anyway, i don't like being told
what to do (zeus) but i happened to agree, this isn't the
place to talk about missed emails. of course, email
obviously isn't an outlet for that either ;)

didn't reply... I think I got really busy or distracted.
I'll go and look at it and reply.

Flea: We don't think everyone here is stupid or
ignorant... I like a lot of nu'ers.... or should that be
xl'ers now? :)

they'd better burn wav or ape files, not audio tracks :\

Redbook audio is fine, wav files would just make my job of
making a master CD with all the tracks on it that much
easier.

Promos will go out soon to 'selected individuals and
establishments ;)'

send me a copy and i'll play a bunch of it on my radio show,
i'm sure... i'd order it if not for that $5 shipping.

offline Joyrex from watmm.com (United States) on 2003-02-26 13:18 [#00571976]
Points: 1389 Status: Lurker

Well, the 5$ shipping is to cover the cost of mailing it
plus the mailing supplies (i'm actually taking a loss on
that when it comes to international orders).

I was considering sending a promo to you for your radio
show... thanks!

Marlowe, Virginpusher & Skyfarmer: You lot are really sad
fucks, you know that? I'm not doing this for profit, and
these people are some of your fellow boardmembers. Besides,
those are only 56k Mp3s and nobody is getting the redbook
quality ones until it's released.

Plus, the Mp3s I have up are only 56k 22050kzh versions...
not worth pirating anyways.

weren't. Even if they were, it's not good to say things like
that - inspires people to do things.

I just added myself to the pre-order list as well. You're
welcome.

I understand the reasons for the shipping rate, but that's
what happens when you deal with goverment-run postal
service. :P $13 is a small price to pay for quality
music... :)

Joyrex, there will always be moochers leeching other peoples
hard work. Nothing can be done about that, unfortunately.
Nevertheless, I think the WATMM compilation will be a
success.

Thanks again.

the others weren't.... wow joyrex you know me well.

I thought it was amusing to be so blaintly open and honest
about ripping someone off. It's not of the norm. it's dry
sarcastic humor that you the intelligent business man should
have picked up on.

I am disappointed. People are way way too fuckin serious.
Shit I am an artist too. I understand more than you are
giving me credit for.

Sorry for the confusion......

Points: 1389 Status: Lurker

Sorry I was so defensive, but even kidding around, this
temps and prompts souless fucks who would pirate it
just to spite me, regardless of what they thought of the
music. I want this to succeed so these artists get some
recognition (because they deserve it), and hopefully help
them in their career, or at least expose more people to good
electronic music.

You could make up for it by ordering a copy, y'know ;) -
your choice however.

Thanks to everyone who's ordered so far.
