just listening to "Come on Die Young"... very nice droney
guitary stuff with crash-bang-wallop drums... i like it,
nice n chilled but energetic like a big heavy power
source... i the deep hums and the radio cackle

this message brought to you by travis' campaign to tell
people what they want to hear.

Yeah, Mogwai is great, one of the few bands where I can put
an album of theirs on and sit through it all and not get TOO
bored. At least they have the decency to not make their
tracks 20-25 minutes.

For some reason i can't get into that album at all... same
with their debut-album. An album full of mogwai is just too
much for me ;-)

But their ep's are just amazing! I can't get enough of
those!

Xmas Steps - ep: brilliant! ("small children in the
background" is perhaps the ultimate mogwai-track... and
"rollerball" the most melancholic).

4 satin - love it (except for the horrible noise-explosion
at the end of stereodee... which is otherwise a fantastic
track).

And as for the untitled ep (that opens with "stanley
kubrick" well... not enough words can describe it :-D This
is my favourite mogwai-release ever!

I still haven't heard rock action yet... should i?

"it's under 40 minutes"

really? I did not know that...

Well then maybe i will like it :-) It's like a slightly
extended ep if you look at it like that ;-)

one of ZE BEST concerts i've ever been to ......eva! i
snagged stu's guitar pick for my BF and lets just say it was
WELL used.....i was about 10 feet from the band the entire
show and just watching them play was absolutely
fascinating.

stuart answered one of my questions on mogwai's message
board.....he's a sweetie despite his reputation.

i can hardly WAIT to see them again!! i have almost EVERY
release of theirs.....i think i'm missing a few
ep's.......i'm anxiously awaiting their next release!

C.O.D.Y. is my fav!

The drummer is just... bad. It's a shame.

"Come on Die Young" would have been a masterpiece with a
good drummer
