just a little question:

how do you feel about your country?
are you pleased with your nationality?
(do you feel somewhat patriotic or not?)

I like my country but my city is going downhill a bit

I like my heritage but my accent is wank

I am only patriotic when drunk on tequila

you know i had a soccergame when i was little and the team
from Oman was always the easiest to beat, haha really

when you started a championship the first opponent would be
Oman, last was Brasil i think..

i like my country. ok so finalnd is cold but so is canada :P
we are neutralish, have survived massive amount of crap in
the past and we have a language over 2k years old.

i am pleased with our current situation too, expect the pm
is a dork.

i am healthily patriotic.

Everyplace I've been, nothing beats Sweden. I'd like to see
Australia though, someone give me a trainee work there!

Being Scandinavian is good, we have a good reputation of
being honest and hard-working throughout the world.

No patriotism. I believe we are one universal race of space
monkeys.

Patriotism is the enemy of the working class and counter
revolutionary. The worker has no country.

I loathe my country. All we give a shit about is fuckin
rugby.

i'm french... the bad reputation french people have may be
frustrating ^^; but this rather amuses me in fact.

i'm not patriotic at all, nor proud to be french... i kinda
like my country, except for the government which is getting
worse and worse, and i don't know much about the public
opinion but from what i know the french population isn't the
best in the world.

i don't know which country is "hated" more, france or united
states... but the relation between these two are quite bad
and i'm afraid i'm starting to hate usa too.
bad thing... should not generalize like this.

A load of fat bastards running after a funny shaped ball on
a field? There's nothing inherently wrong with it but to
treat it as an issue of national importance is so lame. We
are a lame people.

Oh, how self deprecating.

The difference between being patriotic and jingoistic is the
breadth of a gnat's pube. Here, The Scottish National Party
try to justify themselves by saying they are standing up for
all things Scottish. No matter how they dress it up, they
are all inherently racist and bigoted and dream of a
shortbread tin scotland that died hundreds of years ago.

It's a round world last time I looked.

Talking about that, did anyone see the documentary on
Zimbabwe on BBC2 at the weekend? It showed how the white
farmers have been treated since mugabe introduced his land
reclamation law. It was scary stuff and actually made me
feel sympathy for the white farmers.

The shame about America is the fact it has the potential to
be a great country. If only they could get rid of Texas and
Capitalism...I know plenty of AMericans who are really
decent individuals. It must be a frustrating place for a
lotta people. I'm sure it's the same in plenty other
nations, but America is the most powerful and was based on
such beautiful principles.

It's true. America has some wonderful individuals in it. And
it was one of the first, if not THE first, to draw up a
national constitution based on equality and freedom.

being an american means you are kinda covered in a haze of
depression... you WANT to be proud and feel good about your
culture, but it's hard to... i think america had a strong
beginning (you wouldn't have a man like lincoln elected
nowadays) but ultimately, it's just like any other
government... out for your time, your money, your will. it's
sad... we haven't had a decent president since i've been
alive.

I thought the French got there first. Maybe not with a
constitution but with ideas of liberty, freedom and
equality.

You're right with the ideas bit--but having it written down
as law was a big step. I just find it so sad that it's
fallen so far morally and ideologically.

So we just forget the first couple of hundred years of
massacaring native americans? America is like any other
affluent western countryt -it's prosperity was built on
slavery on murder.
