hey, shutup, first off theres nuthing wrong with 1982 and
qbasic is a lot better than a calculator when it comes to
math.

i studied programming two years ago and i annoyed everyone
in my class by making programs in pascal that made little
sound effects and music..

Hehe, I did qbasic when I was 10 years old. Programs that
generated random noises and other shite, I also did a text
adventure in Basic for the Commodore 64 in which you could
pick up things and drop them in other rooms and they stayed
there. I played a bit with ASM as well, but I wasn't any
good.

I used to make bleepy music with my spectrum 128k about 10
years ago--gosh it was fun being able to have 2 sounds going
at once!

you can get 'running water' sounds out of the beeper in
pascal by putting random integers (for the frequency) and
short sustain times into the sound call (i think its in the
crt unit). mmmm monophony....

I once used QBASIC to program, a long time ago. I went
looking for my Sinclair Spectrum not so long ago and went
apeshit when I found my parents had thrown it away and
filled it's big blue plastic container with crap! :'(

(I only wanted the Spectrum to play Double Dragon, and
Paperboy :$)
