ok, you're being very vague here (not helping)

and what is the actual track like - is it any good?

well when you look at quality it may be expensive, but when
you look at rarity it's chrystal clear that those amounts of
money arise

power pill pack man is an ep with 5 tracks in it, original
and some mixes... but very much alike all of them... its
like funny dance music... a rarety but not good afx stuff...
if you are a collector buy it.... but if you are searching
for good music there are lots of much better afx releases

think that seems a good price to add to my collection

do you mean?

For gods sake. It's an early 90's dance anthem like Tetris
by doctor spin and all the other happy rave style trax that
came out around that time in the UK and Germany.

There is fucking thousands of them in each format. They only
cost so much because the world has access to ebay. The
yellow vinyl is rare but anything else is a common pressing.

Everything is rare if you are a seller on ebay.

everyone knows the RARE!!! means i want more money for this
thing thats more common than water on ebay but would you say
its worth getting?

i wouldn't get it for the tracks if i were you, only if you
like to collect afx stuff

(i'd like to have the CD-version, just for the sake of
collecting it)

Urr? Ebay? I was told you can get it from music fares for
like £4. Why are you asking me where you can get it from
when you list ebay yourself? I'm only telling you it's not
as rare as it's made out to be and the price is high because
ebay is ebay... A copy of the darn thing is on there every
week. I'd love to have it but without giving some smug twat
£60 for it.

I took a while to respond because I actually have other
things to do rather and sit on this website all day. I'm at
work currently.

It's up to the individual. Pay what you want or think is
right but it will be on there again next week. It's not rare
and with ebay having access to the world the price of
anything can get fucking stupid. I've seen BBC Micros go for
over £100.

If it brings you joy that can only be a good thing yeah?

I personally paid a shitload for the UI vinyls because I
like Acid music. But now rather then get every last little
piece of shit by AFX I can find on ebay I tend to support
Rephlex by buying the new stuff (loads I have not heard). I
don't see the point in creaming over a Powerpill single when
I can buy two new albums (or more) from Rephlex for the same
price personally.

Lory D, DJ Scud, The Bug? This is gonna be a good year for
Rephlex, compare those to the prospect of 'Powerpill' on
vinyl. I know what I'm gonna go for.

I've learned some harsh lessons on ebay.

I'm not going into that here or any place else. Just make
sure you are not being tricked with the price. Common
sence.

It's normally fine but the costs are stupid when you can get
new music instead of being the musical equivalent of a stamp
collector. Don't buy something just cuz it's AFX but if you
really really love it and can use it get it I suppose. It's
not like it's up to me.

come anymore (although i paid)...

it looked like the guy could be trust and then suddenly
screwed a lot of people

fortunately all those who were screwed by him have contact
with eachother by mail..
..let's hope we can do something about him..

it's funny, that's about all. i guess it's good if you want
a cd with basically the same song 5 times on it.

no he ain't (he may be soon though ;) )

i tracked down his phonenumber and called him, i got his
wife on the phone
she told me to call back some other time 'cause he wasn't at
home at that moment (she said)
most of the time when i call i get the voicemail

fortunately all those who were screwed by him decided to
call him very often (we also have his mobile phone number)
.. let's hope soon he can't stand it anymore and pays us
back or sends us the records

what else can i do about it? i contacted ebay, they're
currently investigating it, but i doubt if it's really of
any use

i can't believe it's so easy to steal money from people

any suggestions for malafide ebayers/ thiefs?

how much did you pay for it? and how did you pay?
if you have proof of payment, such as a money order receipt
or paypal receipt, you can claim the money back. every
transaction on ebay is insured, unless you pay by cash. the
only problem is, the insurance company takes about $20 admin
fee, so for example, if you paid $50, you can get $30 back,
but if you paid $25 you can only get $5 back.
it does work, i did it once before. it takes quite a while
though, and you have to follow the correct procedures, like
filling in a fraud report before a certain amount of days
are up.
you can find all the details in the "safe harbour" section
of ebay services.

and don't forget to leave the wanker some nice negative
feedback!

yeah, i have to agree. the only reason i'm tempted to but
the thing is because i've recently got some decks and fancy
some afx vinyl to play with (although hard to find records is much
better price wise and has some good stuff from time to time
- i'm getting classics on vinyl off there for only £17

i'm also looking forward to a lot of rephlex stuff - them
and skam are my label focus this year as they never fail
with constantly brilliant releases. and it is always better
to get new stuff more because most of what you pay goes to
them and not some looser on ebay trying to rip people off
