Anyone know a good place to download fonts? Preferably a
place that has like packs of lots of fonts. ( All free
ofcourse)

dunno what you mean by "aphex twin font" but the handwriting
font on the drukqs.com site is a font made out of Mark E.
Smith's handwriting. You can get it on the web somewhere.

Yeah, The Aphex A in a font would be really nice ;) Anyone
knows an url?

dafont.com
FontFreak
FontFile
Abstract Fonts
Typed Different

I have some more too if you want. but those should be
enough to find some pretty good free fonts.

and if you feel like digging around a little bit
this site has every link I gave above, about a bzillion
other links, and tons of other font related stuff.

cools thanks, only problem is now I'll never be able to
choose the "right " font for the job.

This predicament reminds me of my trip to the grocery store,
with 20 different kinds of 10 gallon trash bag decisions
become difficult.

Bear in mind that having a ton of fonts will be a huge drain
on system resources, when they all have to be loaded in a
word processor or graphics program. Best to weed out the
ones you don't need or want.

very true. if you are going to be messing around with a
schload of fonts something like Adobe Type Manager is a
really good investment.

There are programs other than ATM that will help you
manage your fonts too.

OK bumping this for a quick request; I need Bauhaus light,
medium & heavy. I got bauhaus 93 but it's only in bold...

Any help / links to this appreciated!

offline epohs from )C: on 2003-06-16 13:53 [#00743373]
Points: 17620 Status: Lurker

bauhaus isn't a free font. so, if you're looking to
get it you'll either have to shell out some bones, or steal
it from kazaa or soulseek or something.

or, you may be able to find something similar on one of the
sites i listed above.

dafont.com was the best, but, they seem to be having some
probs lately.

Four fonts walk into a bar.
The barman says "Oi - get out! We don't want your type in
here"
