split up, i think it could worrk. even thou i rreally like
it as it is.
the way i think it would worrk is if it was split like this

Arrtists Section - forr talk about musicians, that way if
you need some info its therre and it stops all the crrap
frrom people going on about how shit it is that we don't
mention music.

New Talent Section - this is wherre people can come and post
links to theirr own music and discuss what they have done.

Generral Section - basically just a fun place.

... any morre than that and it would suck and neverr worrk.

Agreed...

( But if your talking about kinda a WATMM.com layout, I
personally find it to overwhelming and hard to use/follow)

BUt different sections would be nice but with the ease we
all know and love here...( Props Phob )

yeah, i don't fancy a big networrk of interrlinking forrums,
just 3 simple doorr ways to 3 simple sections that look as
they do now.

more than 2 sections would get confusing, maybe "aphex" and
"general"

Phob said he wouldn't split the board up because he's sure
that it would get divided into different 'groups' - us vs
them kinda thing. He's probably right.

eurgh, dont split it! it will be like all the other crappy
boards then! This is a cool and easy to use layout with
everything thrown into one screen. You dont miss anything,
and with everything in the one area your topic is more
likely to get a response.

The only change i would make would be to change the "last
changed" column, to "date of topic" or "topic started on..."

yes, it is fine the way it is...
(no i think it's good to have a 'last changed column'
instead)

except for the search engine.

i dont see the point of it, because they are put in
chronological order, for the last time that they were
changed anyway.

No, leave it how it is....................

I like them as they arre aswell, but if it came to the point
wherre they had to be split to crreate some orrderr then i
would like it the way i said.

the thing is, if therre arre LOTS of people who join and
don't just piss off afterr a week, when the site is up and
rrunning, peoples topics will disapearr off the scrreen in
no time at all and so people won't get rreplys anyway.

oh yeah, i see that problem. Hopefully it will never arise,
and a large number of topics is always good. It gets a bit
crap when its just a few topics being posted/replied to.

"Hopefully" :)

alos with the crrowds come the twats. also you get the
boarrd litterred with people simply wanting to say how good
the site is. (which is nice enough of them, just it causes a
mess)

surely the fact that they have to become a member would stop
that?

I'm sure those threads would soon get manipulated into
something more interesting anyway - cue the "Kazaa hack"
case study!

Who knows forr surre what would happen... i just hope this

just a question about the layout of the board......

It's last action performed. So I'll be at the top when I hit
reply now.

I don't think there is a problem with how the board is at
the moment.
