isn't politc's GRAND =b

I never vote for anyone; I always vote against.

-W.C. Fields, comedian (1880-1946)

That's a good one. The last time I voted I did exactly that,
voted against rather than for.

So do I.
It's sad it has come this far, but I really don't know who
DOES deserve my vote.
I only know who doesn't.

It's a quote from a comedian, but it sounds like reality to
me...

Timely quote:

"The war on terror is a joke. Fighting a war on terrorism is
like fighting a war on jealousy. You can't win. At no point
in time are they going to come out and say, 'Got 'em all!
Everyone loves us again!'"
- David Cross, "Shut Up You Fucking Baby!"

David Cross is a long-time comedian who's done tons of
stuff, including "The Ben Stiller Show" and "Mr.
Show"...quite funny!

jack.......is there a big push to recall him as PM, or whats
the sentiment on the street about this whole Iraq mess??

ohhhh........i've never watched 'the ben stiller show' when

tv viewing is kinda limited for me cos of my schedule.

basically, people dont want a war, and definately not
without the support of the UN. People want other options.

On thursday the PM did an interview and he was saying how he
wasnt doing all of this to win votes (and he wont get any
for it either), but i dont think people really see anyone
else taking the PM seat.

Did u hear about the copied dossier?

what on line newspaper from the UK would you recommend?? or
shall i stick to the BBC news?

i'm surprised blair isn't getting more FLACK for the whole
'warmongering' issue

"Writing about music is like dancing about Architecture"

lefties read the guardian. i read ceefax and watch the news.
i can't be arsed with newspapers anymore.

jack, you're the only soulseeker not to have an opennap
account, what the heckers are you playing at? :)

copied dossier!

yeah, sticking to the bbc is probably a good thing. I dont
really look at the news online.

people have pounced on the government for their war-like
attitudes. the PM keeps saying that if one of the big 5 uses
their VETO on the 2nd resolution then they will have made a
"wrong decision" and that he will go to war with iraq -
which defeats the point of the right to veto.

isn't the internet great? :D

WHO SHOT J.R.?

Kristin Shepard (Sue Ellen's sister) did it. The other
suspects were Cliff Barnes and Sue Ellen, both of whom were
arrested (only Sue Ellen was charged). In order to keep the
secret from being divulged prematurely, the producers
actually filmed many of these characters firing the shots,
as well as Jock, Miss Ellie, and -- as a joke -- J.R.
himself.

WAS THE PERSON WHO SHOT J.R. PROSECUTED?

No. J.R. declined to press charges after Kristin revealed
that she was pregnant with his child.

DID KRISTIN ACTUALLY HAVE J.R.'S BABY?

No. She miscarried that child.
