So please tell me your up to date opinion about
Squarepusher... Which are the best releases and what to get?
I only have Big Loada, but I can´t say I like it very much.
Tho I think Go Plastic and Do You Know Squarepusher sounds
nice! And what about music is rotted one note, some like it
some don´t... I have a modem so I can´t download any
stuff...

hard normal daddy is good if you like cheesy bontempi jazz
with a drill beat.

they're all good...

start with feed me weird things, big loada and selection
sixteen, then start listening to hard normal daddy (more the
jazzy stuff) and burnigN n'tree (very beat orientated) go
spastic and do you know squarepusher is the newer stuff (you
will hear it cuz he's using an orville and reaktor) ...

there's also an e.p called maximum priest, some warm smooth
jazzy stuff and a nice remix fromw wagon christ, rotted by
one notes is the most jazzy stuff from him, i heard he
programmed and performed the most things in real time ...

If you dont like Big Loada..I would avoid the earlier stuff
and stick with Go Plastic and Do you know
Squarepusher..Slection Sixteen comes the closest..

offline MrDwatt from Helsinki (Finland) on 2003-02-06 03:20 [#00542934]

thanx, the problem with feed me wired things is that I have
to order it and then I don´t know what I´m going to buy...
So I probobly go for Go Plastic or Hard Normal Daddy, Maybe
Rotted...

For some serious SP action...

His "Buzz Caner" album under Chaos AD name . oldskool
rave mashup beats.... really really classic stuff

Hard Normal Daddy
jazzy, juicy, drilly, emotional

Burnin´n Tree
Some classics on this..... somewhere between FMWT and Buzz
Caner

Breezeblock DJ set on "Elusives" server
.. fucking top class
Warpradio DJ aura palys some mean in the mix... outstanding
really .. mixed with HAB and clockwork Orange theme

I recommend you to listen/ dl some of "music is rotted"
before you order it. I'm a die hard SQP-fan, and this is the
album I appreciate least!

DYKSQ is his best imo.The live cd is great if you can put up
with no soundboards.

just get them all. They all have something fantastic to
offer.

From Choas A.D's buzz caner
all the way to Music is rotted one note.

Go plastic is solid and Do you know SP is good but "Bubble
and Squeek" is my favorite

Big Loada US is weird. It has most, but all of the tracks
from the Big Loada and Port Rhombus EPs. It's just Nothing
records fucking around with us again.

what´s the differnce between big loada us and other
version?
Í don´t know, Big LOada is fun, nice drums but almost
simple in my ears, andthe sound quality is shitty imo...
Still a very good piece... more like driven experimental dnb
not idm

sorry to anyone who loves squarepusher but I find anything
before big loada to be shit. go plastic is fucking great
and dyks has a few good tracks but not all that great. big
loada is too inconcsistent and I hate hard normal daddy.

Haha, my favorite Squarepusher album changes on a daily

priest, hard normall daddy, go plastic. what can i say about
it...i like squarepusher, esp.go plastic, but ae is MUCH
better...

I have loads of Squarepusher. One of the things I like most
is Go Plastic. It has this very uninviting sort of sound to
it, you know? It's got this unreal sort of chaotic element
to it. I love Feed Me Weird things, too. It has probably
the widest range of emotional depth, I'd say. Songs like
Tundra and Goodnight Jade are Squarepusher must-hears!

By the way, can anyone confirm or deny the existence of
Bubble & Squeak? Is this really squarepusher? It's not
listed on Discogs.com. I'd like more information about this
release.
