rocket launcher that incinerates soft fleshy stuff

1. a time limit always pisses me off. I like to play a level
at my own pace, don't want the computer to rush me!

2. making it too easy to quit. Accidentally (when you're
stuck somewhere and get frustrated) anwering "yes" when it
asks "Quit, are you sure? yes/no".

3. collecting stuff (100 coins or whatever), and already
having 99 coins... and then not being able to find the last
one... aaargrh!

4. underwaterlevels where you run out of breath too
quickly.

5. camera that won't cooperate.

shit you covered most of them

I would simple add shit AI team members. tactical games
where you have to control a team, everytime you play the
mission, it is pure chance if your guys are a help or burden
to you.

Kickin ass in a game, in a critical part then the game
quits. Either for no reason at all, an illegal operation,
or it just wants to fuck with you.

1. being stuck at a hard part of the game (rare are the
games that doesn't have that plague!).
2. being stuck at a hard part of the game (again, because it
annoys me so much).
3. annoying music.. or no music at all (GTA 3 and Vice City
combine both! very strong!!)
4. bugs. (for example, wipe'out"64 was a great game but the
super combo challenge is bugged, you can't get any of the
last medals so you can't finish the fucking game...
it is still one of my favorites though... and wipeout
fusion, which i can't save because, and only with that
games, the file disappears on the memory card. fuck
wipeout.)
5. unskippable and unpauseable cinematics (Metal Gear
Solid... FFX...)

How could I have forgotten the dreaded timelimit or the
underwater levels.
Thanks for reminding me surrounded, they belong up there
indeed.
As for online-gaming annoyances it would go:
1. Lag/packetloss
2. N00bs
3. Cheaters
4. Getting owned constantly
5. people flaming all the time, degrading what could have
been a pleasant experience.

1. Newish games that are meant to be an experience and not
a challenge.
2. Go there, get that, and bring it back gameplay.
3. Bad playcontrol
4. Having to use a sword that protrudes directly from your
body and is no longer than an inkpen.
5. Long load and save times.

"Every sane person on Earth hates Counterstrike." - how so?
i think most people who play cs also like a bit of Q3 arena
action as well, or some other kind of manic fragging game.
the only way you can hate cs is if you have 56k and that
sniper on the roof has cable.

the best thing to do on counterstrike is lead a hostage out
into the open after stabbing them so their health has almost
gone. set up your team nearby on a roof with rifles. when
the ct comes to rescue the hostage, shoot the hostage just
as the ct gets there. the ct will panic and most do
hilarious things because they havent got a clue what just
happened. normally they run a full circle looking for what
the hell happened, then they stop to look at the hostage,
trying to figure out how it just died(works best if the
sniper aims for the hostage's foot-since ct wont see any
blood) and bang, let them have it. try it:)

1. the stupid things characters start to do when you let
them stand still (rayman playing basketball with his torso,
keen reading a book)

2. difficult jumpy jump parts where you have to start from
the beginning if you fall, and usually run a long way back
to the start point

3. the fact i suck at most games

4. the ufo disaster in sim city

5. illogical adventure games

offline Bob Mcbob on 2003-02-04 03:25 [#00540029]
Points: 9939 Status: Regular

heh i love it when characters do things by themselves ;)

1 trying to do a first person game WITH a mouse
2 no save game...passwords may be ok but i hate games where
u must start from level 1 every time
3 gameboy games that u played in black and white and are now
in colour, and the colours are all different to what u
imagined they would be
4 any game that only lets you play or make changes if you
type in the 3rd word on page 15 on the maunal, but of cource
you dont have it coz you didnt buy the game legit
5 when you do acheat that puts you into an impossible
situation that you couldnt have got into if u didnt cheat,
eg walking through walls and suddenly wondering where the
heck you are
6 all command n conquer type games, too confusing
7 not knowing what to do next and wondering around
aimlessly
