Paint a War Ship

On the TV3 news tonight our New Zealand Greenpeace team
joined the UK contingent in protesting the War on Iraq by
blocking a UK miltary supply ship laden with tanks and
helicopters and painted a Stop the War slogan on the
side of the ship despite from being hosed down heavily by
soldiers on board the ship and used our Rainbow Warrior to
block the ship's access to leave the harbour but the big
meanies put our boat in jail...

Go Greenpeace you rock!

When I was 12 years old a photo was taken with my classmates
from Intermediate school in the galleys of the original
Rainbow Warrior where we were having a knee biting
competition to see who had the reddest knees... I won :)

yeah I know a bit of a media blockade going on on most forms
of protest of late..we only got it by default because it was
NZers protesting in England..

He he (imagines all his mates in the navy/marines giving the
hippies a kicking). I remember when some woman got into faz
lane naval base and climbed (naked) on top of a submarine in
protest. The naval guys just sat and watched her rant till
she collapsed from hypothermia.

Technically blocking a military vessel in time of war is
treason. And there are still working gallows in
Portsmouth Harbour...

He he, they don't really get annoyed by it. They tend to
just sit around laughing whenever there are protestors
about.

The load at faz lane I was on about actually get a shout out
in the credits of cold cut's "let us play" album :)

Is Red your Mrs. Flea? Say hi to her.
