do NOT trust the Gates of Hell!!!
Microsoft WILL start off the real life equivalent of SkyNet, and the scenes depicted in the Terminator films or The Matrix will become reality
please, don't aid him!

Think about it, it's not going to be Microsoft taking over the world. You wouldn't be afraid of a few rampaging Intellimice, would you?
The real danger is from those industrial robots, so you better watch out for Toshiba, Siemens and the rest.

microsoft is slowly inching in on personal rights too,. apparantly a new line of pentiums actually check every program you try to run and see if it's authorised by microsoft, and if it's not,. then they don't run it.
which means that if you download a freeware game over the net, it won't run, or if you have a pirate microsoft program, it'll report you.
also
the XP service pack contains things inside the "terms of agreement" which says, in complicated legal jargon, that you are handing over the right to view, delete, and edit anything they see fit.

well actually Microsoft is a viable threat
i'm guessing that pretty much at least over 70% of the worlds computers run some version of a Microsoft OS (be it primary OS or multi-boot)
it would be ideal because they'd already be installed on most of the computers worldwide
think about that - EVERY computer in the world, running an MS operating system, getting online and running and processing together, like an array
that would be a POWERFUL mother fucking computer

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Since it's by Microsoft, we could always just crash it by sending it an oversized ping packet. Or maybe use a Mac Powerbook to smack it down "Independence Day" style.

the computers here at work are shit, they wouldn't run windows under linux...they barely run windows!!!
not allowed to install other software on these because they're public access computers - by that i mean that anyone in the building can use them, so they wouldn't let me put it on here due to everyone needing to understand and use Linux and it's differing GUIs

Hmmm... do you honestly think microsoft could produce something like artificial intelligence?
Let them first develop an operating system that actually works.
I worry more about the american government than I worry about Microsoft.
I fear we will have a third world war soon.
