Yeah there's two new tracks up.. first is shamelessly cashing inon the hottest new trend in the art world...it's a drilly track..shamelessly aping some aspects of V_Snares second is as in..you can dance to it..if you got the two extra feet it some times needs..hot Funky Dance mania... feedback appreciated.. cheers |

Listening now. Cockbrushing is definitely very good; snares-esque! I like the sampling and sudden changes. And this droning noise at the end :D Nicely done, man! |

"cockbrushing" is not for me - the drill stuff isn't my thing. so I can't comment much on that. um, maybe that the production sounds very good - ha ha, how lame is that.. :P and now on to "if you've got the feet for it". oh yes. this I like quite a lot. yes. a lot, actually. wonderful! strange thing is the first 20 seconds remind me incredibly of Autechre, like EP7 period.. hope you see that as a compliment.. :) but it is very much a flea-y track. love the texture - the burbling melody that twists and turns.. especially the lower notes, I can really almost touch those. that I always love. nice job. |

awrite listened to them anyway on cockbrusher i must agree with qrtr; it's not my taste and you're pushing edges a bit too far towards that noise stuff for my likings. consciousness i hadn't heard before, i like this one. kind of a chase track, says i. the good guy chasing the bad guy. the feet; well i sure ain't got the feet for this one but i love it! the bass you chose is too cheesy though, it kinda ruins the melody it plays. but that's just me :) i can see rd2d2 dancing to this (looks weird) |

cockbrushing - well it was okay. Nothing special imo. It's nice and all that, but it feels like it's lacking a "soul", something special to lift it above itself. now on the other hand - if you got the feet for it - i love! Sheer genius! :-D It still sounds alot like the other knobject-tracks i heard, the same sounds and the same feeling etc. But somehow you've made almost a popsong out of it! Brilliant. Danceable and with a beautiful melody. I once read "my red hot car" was squarepusher's windowlicker. Well, in that case one might say "if you got the feet for it" is your red hot car ;-) It's a shame this one didn't make it on your demo. I can see some recordlabel-managers seeing commercial possibilities for something like this. |
