SS is kinda like that...

I think it gets jerky because it's dealing with modem
users...no real way around it really; it'll get better as
more people get faster lines, I guess...

If you're on cable you might want to look into setting a kb
limit on uploads, as leaving at 0, the default, can
seriously eat up your download speed...if I'm doing dls or
other web stuff, I set mine at 16kbs and that works well;
have a play, it's different on every machine...

does deleteing the cookies do anything? I would have though
it would be more the program than the servers cause the d/l
speeds are good

just restart it every once in a while. if it runs
constantly, it just keeps eating up more and more ram.
sometimes, if i leave it on for a few days, it gets up to
using 250+ mb of ram

what's the reason for "Periodically refresh"ing your slsk
icon in the taskbar?

The only tip I have is to SORT YOUR FUCKING FILES OUT, god
there some muppets out there, I can't understand how they
can find anything on their hard drive. Either that, or if
you're on a fast connection do search's for .mp3 or .avi,
shit like that... :)

and I don't think it would be soulseek if it actually ran
smoothly with no problems :P

it's true, some ppl store all their files in one directory,
so it seems. literally hundreds of 'em at times. odd
