Hey, at this moment i'm recording a MD with IDM for myself
(when i'm travelling etc.) but also to let it hear to others
who don't know this kind of music, did i make a good choice
by taking these?

until now i recorded:

Autechre - Garbagemx36
Caustic Window - On the Romance Tip
Chris Clark - Diesel Raven
Bola - Veronex Cypher
Autechre - Rpeg
Plaid - Stills
Radioactive Man - Trespasser
Aphex Twin - IZ-US
AFX - Laughable Butane Bob
Autechre - Pencha
Chris Clark - Proper Lofi
Aphex Twin - Alberto Balsalm
Squarepusher - DYKSP
Autechre - Acroyear2

which tracks did i forget.. or which ones wouldn't you have
added???

Oh and about your compilation... over half of those tracks
i've never heard :-s Sorry, so i can't really make any
intelligent comments i'm afraid (lol, so what else is new?
;-)).

But i'd say some BoC wouldn't hurt :-)

bores me quickly (as well as 'stills' will do i'm affraid,
plaid also bores me quickly)

"plaid also bores me quickly"

...you spoilt spoilt man!
How could plaid possibly bore you? :-p Their music is some
of the most entertaining i've ever heard. (altough i must
admit i haven't listened to p-brane anymore since i got
Restproofclockwork... i'll have to give it a liten again
sometime soon).

"i only have 'a beautiful place..' by BoC, don't really
like it..
"

tsja... smaken verschillen.
I recently made a tape for myself to listen to on the old
walkman, and i put the title-track from that ep on it :-) It
works for me :-p Time seemed to stand still when i listened
to it in the train...

"'i fart on thee too' "

is that a seinfeld-quote?!
To my embaressment i must admit i don't recognise it... ;-)

you'll love it! try that song or look for tief (otherwise
known as deep) from his betrieb album (otherwise known as
business). these are examples of his melodic work, he also
makes more abstract stuff which is equally interesting but
not very accesible. he's from germany, that's why the
betrieb album comes translated :) both albums are quite
stunning, i do say :D

some shows i play little to none of it, but i never play
exclusively IDM, which is why i like to joke about why so
many people ignore my show
