Just picked up "Second Stage Turbine Blade"
and suffice to say it is overshadowing Zwan's debut. I'm a Billy corgan fan, but Coheed is rocking my socks off.
Best rock i've heard in a year at least. I ordered a shirt, and anyone who likes rock should check 'em
Coheed & Cambria
d/l the songs: "Delirium Trigger" and "Time Consumer"
killer, anyone else heard to them or dig these boys? *yes the singer is a guy*

this album is fucking blowing me away more than an album has in a few years.
I can't get EVERY song out of my head. It is so fucking unique compared to the shit out there.
For the love of god, at least d/l a couple songs kids :Time Consumer: or go for "Delirium Trigger: I suggest.
Anyone any love?

i listened to "delirium trigger".. it started out great but the singer sounds too much like the singer in placebo, hate that voice. once the singing kicked in the music kinda degenerated into stereotypical christian rock. i mean yea parts of it still rocked hard (especially in the middle 2 minutes) but too many things went wrong to save it. sorry, i tried.

interesting take, I respect your input even if you didn't like what I love.
btw: hope you didn't get the demo version, the album version is much more rich.
I dunno about the christan rock thing, are you refering to certain chord progressions or tempo, beat or ?
anyway, maybe if it interested you at all, check out "Time Consumer" which is my favorite track on the album.

christian rock (i don't mean pop, of course).. it has that sort of cliched, trying-too-hard, by-the-numbers rock sound to it. this song isn't cliche, just the parts with singing border in that tired christian rock territory. i thought half of it was great but the singing ruined it for me (and the changes in music that accomodate the singing).
i got the mp3.com version, that might be the demo...? i'll look for another song you recommended on p2p, but it might be months cos my school limits the bandwidth for p2p to nearly 0.0k/sec.
