and especially the music deparment! i just got 'music for
airports', some joy division and 808state there. there is
also fsol, winx, sven väth.... and even synth books. the
jolly thing about it is that i can copy those to my personal
usage legally since the library must pay the teosto (finnish
riaa) anyway.

I think the library only pays the RIAA some compensation for
the hiring of the CDs, I doubt you're legally allowed to
copy them...

But yes, libraries are great. I found SAW2, In Sides,
Incunabula, ICBYD and lots of other great CDs in our
citylibrary

i will check it from my roommate who knows about this stuff,
but i think it is a law in finland. teosto works a bit
differently here.

Wow, there's a big difference in the law then... We pay
extra for CDRs which goes to the RIAA and the libraries pay
them too but we're still not allowed to copy :(

(....but we do it anyway)

but what about the poor cabbies?

can't just burrow from the library then? then they won't
have to pay.

yes? no? what's a library

the cabbies can't play in their cars because it is npot
personal use, so they must pay the same payment

yeah - libraries are fantastic places. Here in sweden they
work like the ones in Finland and thats great. I live in
sweden second biggest city and the library here got some
quite obscure stuff...and lots of other records too (and
synthbooks are a great way the learn the basics)
