What do you have for breakfast?

Cooked, Toast, Cereal, Other?

Me, I'm a muesli/(full-cream)milk man.

ps: yeah yeah, another pole etc. etc., but thought this
might spark up a bit of bustling-ness :)

cereals, milkshake, and a cup of tea.

school mornings: nothing or a bottle of coke or mountain
dew

regular mornings: bread, tea, fruit, muesli and soy yoghurt,
depending on what we have

for me it's the opposite... i always have breakfast on
school mornings (even though i don't feel like eating), but
on "regular" mornings i usually don't (unless i wake up
early, like 9 a.m.)...

aren't regular day's school days?

uzim - milkshake for breakfast .. must try that.

ahh. yeah, weekends i tend to combine breakfast and lunch ..
so <12noon it'll be in the form of cereal, >12noon it'll be
a toasted sandwich of some sort (mustard, meat, salad,
tomato, advocado and balsamic vinegar to top it off!).

you're right, regular days are school/work days...

...that's what's wrong (for lazy people like me) and what's
advertisers doesn't seem to have understood yet (see all the
people in the ads taking all their time having breakfast,
shaving, washing themselves, etc etc. and looking so
enthusiastic and happy...) =)

i love sleep and being lazy - doesn't fit well with that
marketing picture .. :/

yeah .. and that whole, white picket fence, wife, 2.4 kids,
2 cars etc ..

hehe..

ok school mornings and non-school mornings

i can't really eat for the first few hours after waking up,
so if i would like to eat on school mornings i'd have to get
up 5am

neetta: sorry to hear that .. breakfast is the most
important meal of the day (they say?) ... aside from
that I enjoy having a bowl of muesli before heading off to
uni ... different strokes for different folkes i guess :)

i'm quite worried about all this since i'm on medication and
it has to be taken on the morning. taking it to an empty
stomach causes my stomach to ache. i used to drink coffee
but it made the pain three times as bad.

i eat a very good meal 11.30 at school but it's way too late

Is everyone on this mb on medication?

I just drink coffee for breakfast but sometimes do a wicked
poached eggs on toast with chilli sauce... mmm

depends on the medication (should say in the directions),
but yeah quite common for medication to require a meal as a
base. It changes the gastric emptying rate, and so the
medication works the way its intended to as well (ie. more
effective and all that stuff).

uploaded mix#3 onto wremaxed, so should be up in a week or
so?). Might do some more mixes ..

idm drives people crazy so we are all on Prozac and
Diatzepam

offline korben dallas from nz on 2002-11-17 04:40 [#00445028]

haha.. idm causes it, or is it because of the prozac and
diazepam that we like idm? :)

The Meow Mix commercials drive me crazy, and being out of
Prozac. Meow Meow Meow Meow.

oh, fun. I've only barely started on yours. I'm thinking
about using all my own samples but then just re-creating the
general feel of it or somthing, the general progression.
(because the wav of your song uploaded as a really low
octave as explained in my other post asking for software) I
tried getting that repeating beat "oh, ah, tae, da, ee, dee
*boip" into the right, uh, geometric structure. I think I
figured that out at least? (the numbers indicate the number
of spaces the sounds take up in time:
oh(3) ah(5) tae(4) da(3) ee(3) dee(3) *boip(5)
that's a cool beat. then how the other one comes in on top,
it's like a symmetrical but mutated version of that same
beat which sounds great together.

that meow mix would make a great start for an idm song.
BAXTER? is that you??

i think idm causes it

Let me be that annoying exception that disproves your
theory.

offline korben dallas from nz on 2002-11-17 04:47 [#00445039]
Points: 4605 Status: Regular

wicked .. never thought about using my own sounds to emulate
a track (be near impossible with your thing .. so i've kind
of but hints of structures in there) - although I'm afraid
at this stage its waaaaeeeeyy too structured .. hence the
possibility of further mixes.

yeah .. those loops are pretty cool .. (dunno bout that
bassline though .. that was kind of stupid - cool at the
time)

offline w M w from London (United Kingdom) on 2002-11-17 04:53 [#00445045]
Points: 21493 Status: Lurker

I think the whole track is very awesome, weird skipping
drums, that "bassline" definately adds to the weird feel,
mutation of that one beat into an echoy version,
deteriorating ending. It might be cool with 2nd song on
ep7ish style lyrics too.

offline korben dallas from nz on 2002-11-17 04:58 [#00445056]

yeah .. haven't gotten into that chopping up vocals yet ..
but should really give it a shot. the sonic properties of a
voice are pretty awesome (although a crisp snare is pretty
fine too) ..

i'm hungry now ..

have you read that children's book called 'the mugwumps'?
It's about some innocent mole like creatures minding their
business on their planet, until 'the pollutians' (who
symbolize people) come and pollute everything and lay
concrete over thier homes.
