how bout this show then?
one of my favorites, i actually like it more than the
simpsons. too bad FOX don't know how to schedule their
programming and always put it where football will surely run
over into its timeslot.

too bad they didn't cancel this instead of the brilliant and
hilarious family guy

you seriously think family guy is brilliant?
too each his own i guess...anyway futurama is cancelled, its
just that there is a season worth of episodes to be aired
this year because of the crap timeslot, but the writers are
essentially looking for new jobs.

I really don't see what makes family guy that good..

when Matt Groening started out with futurama he said the
idea was that stories could unfold over years..

alas..

I found quite a lot on Kazaa.. takes ages to download, and
its a pretty small picture, still... I get to see a lot of
episodes I'll get to see here in the Netherlands otherwise
(the Dutch Fox only aired the first 2 series..)..

you can find every single episode on Kazaa. i have a couple
on soulseek, but kazaa is your best bet. just type in
futurama.
if FOX would stop making idiotic decisions and just release
the DVD's in the US this wouldn't be a problem for me. oh
well. anyone know how to hack a dvd player?

ha ha.
really though, how would one change a region 1 player to
play region 2 dvds?

Futurama is great, the ''future'' aspect gave it endless
comic potential... so much you could do with such a wacky
world.

Family Guy was funny, but always came across as a shameless
Simpsons rip off to me... every joke they made, I was
thinking, ''Jesus, didn't I see something exactly like that
on the Simpsons''?

exactly. but i guess i can see what people find funny in it,
its just that those aspects have been done many times, and
better, on the Simpsons.

"that is a rare photo of sean connery signed by roger moore.
it is worth one hundred and fifty dollars"
the simpsons really was classic, and futurama was supposed
to take over. instead we get shows like family guy that do
nothing with the formula.
the other thing i like about futurama is how they slip hard
science into the episodes. some of the concepts are actually
thought provoking.

fun thing about Futurama is, its not so much verbal humour
(as the Simpsons are) - you have that, and you have the
visual stuff..

and as Ophecks says, its and endless universe. thats what
Groening liked about futurama - the possibilities were
endless.

I must say, I didn't think it would be such a big hit as the
Simpsons were.. thats the sci-fi element killing ya..

Futurama was still one of the better shows on television.
It came in second to the simpsons, but was still awesome.
They should put it back on the air during the off-season. I
miss that show...
