I have just downloaded all the music from the PS2 game, Silent Hill2, and I have to say...it's some of the most amazing music I've heard in a while. Deeply disturbing in places, moving in others, and sometimes very exciting and tense. It will take a while to grow on you, and it does help to have played the games.
And before anyone bothers flaming me for not doing a "worthwhile post" (whatever the definition of that is), don't reply if you're not interested...(I might as well make that my signature...)

2002?
Off toic, yeah, SH2 might have my favorite soundtrack, movie or game, I wish all dark ambient was even half as good. I still listen to it often, to this day. Stupendish.

Lots of game soundtracks sound more imaginative than non-sountrack albums imo. Perhaps it's the inspiration of the game content, or the need to reach a certain standard (for the game company), or something.
Orphecks, you are quite right....I too wish more dark ambient music was like the SH2 soundtrack.

you're so wrong about that. i have no problem with anyone disagreeing with me - it happens constantly. the difference is that you are incredibly arrogant about it and you don't read posts carefully enough to understand them before replying. so i know you as someone who is full of himself and now a really unfunny troll. that's why i'm well sick of you.

jeez r40f, i bumped a few old threads that had long been lost and beloved xltronic members (the baron) and many people enjoyed the flashback. where's the harm in that?
when i've said let's agree to disagree in the past i mean that i don't think i'm more right than anyone else, just giving my opinion. i think if anyone really took the time they'd see that i'm not really arrogant at all. maybe unfunny though.
all you can offer is insult and hostility. why not forgive and forget?
