ok, so i did what i said i was going to do. i made a tongue-in-cheek remix of "kaini industries" in support of zeus. see, i thought his remix was pretty good. he didn't just "put a beat over it", he made it his own. he kept the melody which a lot of remixes are. too many remixers just make new songs and add the original vocal over it. i haven't listened to any of zeus' originals, but i liked his remix. so anyway here's one i threw together using just one program (Cool Edit Pro with no add-ons) and very little effort or interest. |

hey man! i just checked it out. at first, i thought my computor was being slow... cause of how you messed with the melody, but then realized that was on purpose. I had actually tried running the melody through distortion myself... but couldnt get it to sound good... but i like the sound of it there. I must say, the little samples and scratchs right before the distorted synth sample really got me pumped up. I was expecting these massive drums to come in with the ditorted melody... a la Dj shadow, or MBM acoustic and hard! i think you should definatly mess around with something like that, cause this mix has potential for really being badass/hardcore. Wasnt too keen on the begging, with the crazy cutup of the sample... but hey to each their own. =) i think if you take more time with it... it could be rockin and im glad i inspired you! :D |

well the beginning is parodying the idea that you didn't change the melody, it's just the melody with slight alterations (cut and pasted a couple parts).. the "real" remix kicks in after the weird samples. of course that remix is a parody of the idea that you didn't change it enough cos i made it this big loud thing that is just too much. honestly i just threw this together, i don't think i'm going to do anything else with it. i'm glad you liked it though! |

i know, that's the logical thing to do. it occured to me but i can't be arsed to mess with rebirth or fruity loops cos i only did the remix to make a point, not cos i was in the mood to remix the song. i'm going to let you guys hear some more stuff eventually, so don't give up.. |

damn titty this was too fun!!! i loved trying to guess who the voices belonged to and the ALIEN noise after the REAGAN comments was a brilliant stroke! you should try more remixes dood!! my favourite portions of ze remix start at 17.0 - 50 sec's..... i agree you should keep working on it ......SERIOUSLY.....foo =b |

I have also made a remix of this boards of canada song, in support of titsworth. His remix was real swell, but it lacked something. I think that this new mix is of more.. personable nature. |

i dunno what's happening w/ goon and his album.. i hope it sells well and he's doing ok i did that remix for his 1st competition but i never really finished it (the drums were only meant to be temporary) and didn't submit it.. ochre won that contest and he deserved it |
