Hello,
i have tracks on i mini disk that i want converted to mp3... whats the easiest way of doing this?

there's no easy way :(( it's impossible to "record"in mp3...so you have to connect MD with soundcard and record WAV and compress it in mp3......only the new SONY VAIO notebook can record directly mp3 on minidisk and vice versa

If you've got a sound card with optical in port use optical-optical lead, otherwise use line out on mini-disk to line in on pc. it'll probably be 3.5mm male-male jack lead you'll want. A couple of pounds in yourlocal electrical store...

search for Goldwave, use a male male jack, open your line in volume and record... and then save it as wav and encode it in mp3, that's it.
