why japan only? i never understood why only japan gets extra
tracks on cds and nowhere else. so many bands have special
ones just for japan.

cloudead is the best hiphop cd ive ever heard. i need more
like that. i dont like just rap, i need something special
and original. i was expecting quasiomoto to be a little
better than it was. i have endtroducing, i know its hiphop
but i always consider it an electronic cd. itsd easier to
do it that way.

you might, he's changed his production style big-time..

as for can ox, that's the first i heard about that. sure you
not thinking of APC?

as for japan, companies put bonus tracks and stuff on
japanese cd's cos in japan it's cheaper to buy imports than
domestics

interesting, i never knew that about that import stuff.

yeah im sure it was can ox i heard broke up not too long
ago. i heard that during one of their shows, i think it was
a defjux show(could be wrong) and someone came out before
they were on and said they broke up.

not a huge fan of either bboys or de la soul. i only like 3
feet high and rising and de la soul is dead is decent.
newer stuff is awful i think. i like check your head and in
sound from way out and some old bullshit by bboys but none
of their mainly rap stuff.

offline diablo on 2002-08-18 22:42 [#00354841]

OK...

Tribe Called Quest - Midnight Marauders
Rawcus Records - Soundbombing II
Alkaholiks - XO Experience
Beastie Boys - Check Your Head
Nas - Illmatic
Mobb Deep - The Infamous / Hell On Earth
EMPD - all
RUN DMC - all
etc etc etc blah blah blah

Not really "leftfield" hip hop, but all great stuff.

damn straight. plus hello nasty, thats a great album.

in response to machineofgod, i agree that de la soul has
gotten pretty crappy, but their early releases were actually
innovative.
