I used it for more than an year. Great program "all in one". Cool features, easy use.
Problem: Not exactly awesome in it's sound characteristics.

It has a samler (two in Reason 2) where u can feed anything.
Beatbox also takes whatever u throw there. The problem is the synth sound. Not fat at all. Effects included also crappy.
Anyway, it´s more than decent. But can´t compete with Logic Audio native synths...
IMO, of course

Reason is also a (german?) type of chocolate. It's very chewy- nice though.

hey, as a basic tracker ACID PRO 3.0 is really quite good. so if like me you record parts of songs at friends houses, studios, anywhere you can find you can always come back to ACID and put it all together. really great for placing verses, moving chorus, etc. by like heptanary said logic is prob the best.

They never took of in this country. I think that like lots of German and Austrian food, they're too "stodgy" for Brit's tastes.
Still this has little to do with musc software, so I'll be quiet now...

I think u would be very happy with reason. And for the price, nothing can beat it. U get samplers, synths, b-boxes, effects, mixers, sequencers, a huge library of samples and instruments...
Very easy to use and cool looking.
I just said it could sound better in some aspects. But somehow I´m a sound maniac...

Rewire is cool. Using Reason and Cubase SX u can send midi tracks straight from SX to any part of Reason (a sampler, a synth...).
That´s new in SX.

And what abut Reason+Rebirth+Cubase?
When I'm into that I get the feeling that I need four monitors.

I run a res. of 1600*1200 and re-birth seems tiny on screen. You could fit it and reason on screen together easily...

Malestrom grantable synthesis is pretty cool.... and the new sampler is what the sampler should have been in the first place. Someone said that the sounds seem kinda flat..... thats not really a problem if you export it and beef it up in logic with some effects. And the new malestrom synth doesnt seem that flat to me.... Its a great application.... and there are TONS of things you can do with it. 10/10 stars
