I think his films are more poetic than anything else. It all depends on what the viewer makes it to be. Its cool that no matter how many times people try to ask him in interviews, 'what does this movie mean'. He never interprets it. Just like what Stanley Kubrick said, "I would not think of quarreling with your interpretation nor offering any other, as I have found it always the best policy to allow the film to speak for itself."

I saw battle royal last night. What a film. I can see why they banned it in america. Not for it's graphic display of violence (the USA loves that), but for what it says about our society.

i saw mulholland last night wonderful movie, tho it gets very twisted in the last third but i found out a link to a site, which is supose to help you understand the movie

i just read explanation of mulholland d. and it makes sense still, i wonder if there are people who understood this film after they saw it for the fist time
i mean, u must be pretty careful reading the explanation as well, to get it properly
because that is one confuseing movie
