I think if everyone had no life and a fast connection it
would be great. But everyone with no life would have the
advantage over people who have jobs...

anyone know if you can use your existing service and
connection for this or do you have to subscribe to a new one
just for ff11. because if thats the case, then its gonna
suck.

Not interested in the online gaming thing. It's cool and
all, but too time consuming for my liking, you've got to
dedicate lots of time to it to accomplish anything
worthwhile.

FF6 will always be the peak of that series, nowhere to go
but down from there...

i think it's going to suck. i've been keeping up on it for a
bit now, and it looks very shitty. crappy races, and other
crap. and on top of that, if you're going to buy it for the
ps2 you need to buy a modem, and a subscription to play
on-line...so it's 60$ for a shitty game, however much for
the modem, and then about 10-15 a month for the
suscription.

fuck that shit.

well if you have cable connection you dont need to by a
modem
subscription on line is free
you can go now to playonline.com
the only thing is missing for me is the hard drive and it is
said that's going to cost like $40
i saw some previews and it looks like old FF
alot of it back to FF 6 and tactics...so ophecks they are
trying to win you back

by the way
FF7 and FF9 were great
hated FFX to easy and straight forward

All together it's going to cost you around $150 to put your
PS2 online... Personally, I think Xbox is the console to
have. There aren't very many good games out for it right
now but come Christmas - Q1 of 2003 you're going to see some
amazing things happening on that system i.e. Project Ego,
B.C. , Ninja Gaiden, etc. Game developers are just starting
to realize the tremendous potential of the Xbox.

As for YOU, take a razor to that sloppy face - I thought I
was responding to Pachi!

I don't see the X-Box as the console "too have" It lacks
Japanese support. And if you look at past systems, if it
failed there, then the inevitable will soon follow
elsewhere.

i will eventualy get an x-box maybe this xmas..yes the x-box
is great and got potental but the games are so un
interesting..except for oddworld and some two other games
but i still want to play FF thats why i got a PS2 and sony
carries most of the games i like
i dont like playing games on the PC
but it would be easier to use it to play games on line
since FF11 is going to be on PC also

I'm just gonna get FF11 for PS2, since there's gonna be
other games that I'll want to play online besides it(Marvel
v.s. Capcom 2 for one.)

xbox sucks, thats all there is too it. ninja gaiden will
suck just like all of tecmos newer games. doa3 was awful.
dead or alive volleyball?? what are they thinking. anyways
back to FF, i think it might be a good game but square will
lose a lot of $ just like with the movie because not enough
people are gonna try this out.

BC, Project Ego are both gonna be great titles. but, they
will have a limited crowd. I mean look at black and white.
that didnt do very well. these are 2 innovative games that
will be great but the general public might not pick up on
these. also look at games like Animal crossing and Doshin
the giant for gamecube. these also probably wont sell very
well because of the subjects of the games arent what the
public are used to seeing.

i was a bit hostile towards xbox in my previous post, ive
cooled down now. its not as bad as I made it seem but its
the one thats least interesting to me.

New Shinobi > New Ninja Gaiden

Oh man, Sega is going all out!

i dunno. there is no way im going to shell out the $ for the
new online thing unless i hear its REALLy good. i actually
kinda wish they didn't use the final fantasy series for such
an experimental gaming/business venture, since i have been
quite a fan of the games thus far. i mean the money is one
thing, but then there is the actual game. how are they going
to make a story or character development even half as strong
as it has been in the previous ff games? to me, these are
what have made the franchise what it is, and i think it will
loose much of that on such a wide-scale level (multiplayer).
but anyways, maybe ill be proven wrong, and i hope i am.

i doubt shinobi will be any good as well. but I could be
wrong. sega hasnt been making very good games lately.
