new interview with mogwai
key points of interest:
mogwai have been approached to write some music for the kronos quartet
a london filmmaker, steve mcqueen, has requested "twenty-five minutes of music which should be completely unentertaining, maybe just downright painful" to accompany a short film he's working on

its the best track to hear and watch live especially when the lead guitarist takes one of the toms off of the drum kit and beats it like he lost the plot
ive moved on to explosions in the sky now they do a none pretention version of mogwai

I saw them in Belgium a few weeks back which was cool but I remember being on the train listening to that track thinking it's nice but then it rocked out... soo well, I love it when things do that!
I need to check them live some more.

I listened to the new album "Earth is not a..." and can't listen anymore because one of the songs rips of GY!BE in such a bad way. I may give it another shot though.

I just saw Mogwai 10 days ago and it was a great show. Perfect mix of old and new tunes. Should not be missed.

best Mogwai ever is the Travels EP. the song "small children in the background" is awesome as well.
Explosions In The Sky are great. track 4 on "innocence" is amazing.
if you guys like slowcore bands, listen to Low, Bardo Pond, Labradford, Slint, or Aarktica.
