contacting richard

digiphex from Philadelphia on 2001-07-30 23:20 [#00018764]

I have written to ovuca and chris clark and mike paradinas
and they have all written back to me. I would like to know
how I can get in contact with richard I just want to ask him
some stuff. if any one knows an email adress that would get
to richard james it would be greatly appreciated or if any
one knows anything about contacting squarepusher

Todd Solondz from Happiness on 2001-07-31 00:14 [#00018766]

his email address is richarddjames@hotmail.com and you can
vistit his house 142 Barkley st....

If I did know, I would not tell you. I doubt if anyone in
here knew, they would tell you.

And anyway, if you did come in possession of his email or
home address, you would no doubt send him something like: "I
love you richard. Your music has helped me through the
'rough times'; without you I would have killed myself long
ago. You're so cool! Would you like to hear remixes I made
of some of all your tracks. I know you would. I've enclosed
a picture of me and you in this envelope(of course it's not
really me, I've just digitally added my face over your
mum's!). My favourite album? I love them all. They're so
good.
P.S. We should be together"

digiphex from Philadelphia on 2001-07-31 00:20 [#00018769]

you don't know what I would say you are probably one of
those limey bastards who thinks they know everything about
aphex twin and his fans but you don't. I have never felt
like killing my self and I am not a fanatic Its just that
its not fair living in the U.S. not being able to see any of
the musicians who inspire you most.

Bitchhead on 2001-07-31 00:35 [#00018775]

Digiphex, forgive me for laughing. Also, on the corner of
you block is a fresh piece of cat feces, why don't you
"aspire" to that instead? I know you're not an Aphex Twin
"fanatic." I suppose you could not find the time to be one
in amongst your busy life style bulit around your love for
"top notch dj" Sash!

=|R3FL3X|= from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2001-07-31 00:39 [#00018777]

Bitchead: Shutup.

Anyways.... no, you cannot get his email. No one here knows
it. {unless one of us is him sometimes, which i doubt very
much}. and no one that knows would tell anyone cause thats
not cool. he doesn't want like all these people emailing him
all the time iam sure.

The Grey Gentleman on 2001-07-31 03:03 [#00018809]

Actually, his email address is very attainable. He needs to
fix that ;-)

Or maybe he doesn't care...

boxrocket on 2001-07-31 05:49 [#00018816]

i am richard d. james. and i love all of you with an undying
passion. my email is suckafish@andstickitupyourass.com.

George from japan on 2001-07-31 07:53 [#00018822]

you all have problems...serious problems. you don't need to
contact him. just listen to his work, nothing more, nothing
less.

=|R3FL3X|= from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2001-07-31 09:58 [#00018835]

Thats what I think!

What part of japan are you in?

The Grey Gentleman on 2001-07-31 15:03 [#00018867]

I agree with George, he probably doesn't want to hear from
Aphex-worshipping Internet nerds ;)

rob fragilenine from a warm place on 2001-07-31 15:49 [#00018870]

Maybe RDJ is the clone!!! It sounds like he'd do something
like that, from his videos and artwork... eh? eh??

Jon Bon Jovi from up yo ass on 2001-07-31 16:09 [#00018873]

About 50% of Americans on this board seem to be total
fucking rems. 'Yo! Godamm! Love that Prodigy sheeiit!'. 'Yo,
NIN, like, raawwck!', 'Fuck you limeys, you think you're soo
cool, with your naaasty teeth!'. You fuckin rems. Please go
back to your Gothic bedrooms and pretend to be a vampire,
while us Europeans try to do something a bit more fucking
suave.

I apologise to the cool Americans. I speak only to the
limey-hatin' fuckwits.

Loogie from UK on 2001-07-31 18:25 [#00018893]

Whats a rem?

VChilele on 2001-07-31 18:31 [#00018896]

i would actually enjoy stayin far far away from him..as he
mumbles a lot...and is too stoned to comprehend basic shapes
and words...

Thiefofalways from Germany on 2001-07-31 19:02 [#00018902]

You know everytime I think the American\Brit bashing
sessions have to come to an end, we start all over again. I
wouldnt say Ive been ' All over the world', but Ive lived in
Europe now for 4 years. One thing I realized very quickly as
a person from the states living and traveling abroad is that
you are not really American until you leave America. People
only know stereo types and what they see on television about
us and vice versa. Most Americans that Ive met over here are
so obviously American, it drives me crazy sometimes, but I
think half of it is them wondering how Europeans view us and
then not taking the time to understand their views cause
they are so paranoid that everyone hates us. One day I just
decided to drop my guard and take a few American cracks, we
deserve some I reckon, and the amount of stuff I learned
about the people and their culture was worth a million
jokes, not to mention I made some really good friends and
had a bunch of laughs on the way. Im terribly sorry for my
"why cant we all just get along" spiel, but ignorance
fucking annoys me.

Anyway, do you really think anyone, even they did have his
E-mail, would post it in here? and if so wouldnt someone
have already done it, prompting everyone on the page to mail
the guy, prompting him to cahnge his adress. Maybe if I saw
him live and got a chance, I might ask him some stuff, but
come on, I dont think anyone would want creepy DEAR STAN
e-mails, I wouldnt, and to be honest, I would know, because
Im actually Television and Movie Sensation Jean Claude Van
Dam, so leave my friend Richard alone or I will do that
split thing I do in all my movies in front of your house....
VIVA LA APHEX NERDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Grey Gentleman on 2001-07-31 19:31 [#00018904]

Or maybe some of us Americans just get offended too easily?

Wipe your tears away, get out and ride a bike...

-->TeaZ<--- from Denmark on 2001-07-31 19:58 [#00018910]

i'm sure that RDJ has better things to do than answer mails
from fans...but often i thought it whould be nice to say to
him: "hey, your music really made me think in ways i never
thought before. Thanks!"
I'm just glad he isnt that kinda star that everybody knows
personally, cuz for me the music he makes is the way that i
know him the best.

Xanatos from NYC on 2001-07-31 21:44 [#00018924]

Teaz: good call, I agree completely.

I think I'm the only American with an inferiority
complex...in terms of national pride. Europe is so
obviously more cultured than 99% of America, especially in
terms of digital new media, and IDM. C'mon, how many people
on REPHLEX are from America?
(I want to be the first =)

George from japan on 2001-07-31 23:00 [#00018944]

In England, they call cigarettes: 'fags'. I heard Dave
Chappelle talking about it on Conan. I love Conan. And they
boil everything.

Richard on 2001-08-01 05:53 [#00019033]

Why do you want my email?

you can say anything you want to me here... I check often

Ken Shabby from UK on 2001-08-01 17:35 [#00019147]

Well there's so many imposters we'll never know if "Richard"
is actually Richard.

Richard on 2001-08-01 20:23 [#00019159]

oh believe me you'll know!

Organ Grinder from my own little fantasy world on 2001-08-01 20:50 [#00019171]

Freakwincey is from New Jersey... sorry, you're not going to
be the first. :(

But i barely have any pride in America either.

But there is a bit of culture here... you just need to know
where to look.

But i'd rather be in England.

I just recalled that I once was on afx.nu under a different
name...:
-->TeaZ<--

i made some crappy track on Cubase only using MIDI and was
all over Reflex, cuz he was making an afx.nu compilation,
and I wanted to be on it. *heh*

I think the post on this topic was the only time I wrote
something that made sence.

Well:

What would you say to Richard if you had the chance?

people/robert odell they're all americans or have americans
in them -
being american has nothing to do with creating good music -
it comes from all over the world - this is what makes it all
very exciting
