tango n' vectif!
it was more of the same, but for folks like me who didnt catch it the first time round, it was perfect as a µziq introduction...it flowed well from track to track, unlike druqks that is difficult to listen to all the way through.

I think I'll actually buy it straight away (usually I DL MP3s first) as I don't have a fast net connection at the moment. It'd better be good ;)

I think Drukqs is better. but Tango has nice emotional moments, but it's not got the musical depth of drukqs. Bluff Limbo was much better than Tango I think. And Lunatic Harness is µ-ziq's best cd.

Weird, I bought that only yesterday!
I've only listened to the first CD so far, but from what I have heard, it is indeed a fantastic release from Mike P (who I hadn't really heard much of until this), so i'll definately checkout his other releases too. Top stuff.

tyhey are two separate albums made by two artists 10 years apart - i enjoy them for different reason s although i bought tango when it came out first time around so it's not as exciting as druqs - clearly druqs is a far superior album

Tango n' Vectif - U-Ziq's first release on Aphex Twin's record label Rephlex, was way back 1993, and it was its 8th year anniversary so the Rephlex HQ decided that they would re-release it with loads of longer mixes of the tracks and rare b-sides and never before heard tracks
I don't know what Vectif means

there are no longer mixes - a few tracks that were vinyl or cd only - tracks from an r and s 12" that came out at the same time and a couple of unreleased ones - they are all good and it's a benchmark album - that sounds fresh now

And Vectif comes from a character in a book called "Banana N'Vectif" (N'vectif being the surname), hernce Tango N'vectif. (not 'n' meaning and) {as in fish 'n' chips which I pronounce fish ner chips. Or drum ner bass because i am a dick-head}

Yep Woofer,I agree with you...I love the early sound of MikeP on Tango'n'vectif,but the music in Drukqs is just unique,so complex at times,experimental at other,plus demented and hard to listen,wich I love RDJ' creativity in this one.......

it pisses me off because i ordered Tango n' Vectif here... and got it, loved it - but it was the old version. i learned about a week after i received it that the re-issue came out - i was SO angry. i decided not to bother getting the re-issue. =(

Hmm, I've got both records and I honestly don't like tango n'vectif that much. It's ok I guess. It sounds too simplistic and old to me, although it's got some feeling to it.
