... with their next release? Continue with the rock/IDM
explorations, or release a straight out rock album in the
vein of Ok Computer?
*I know there is already talk that they are doing the later,
but still, what do you WANT?*

Me personally, I want them to continue on from Kid A and
Amnesiac with their rock/IDM explorations... it's fasinating
music in my opinion, and I think if they continued at it
they'd only get better...

I'd rather see an album of Confield remixes.

actually they're continuing from the last 2 albums, they
never said they were doing a rock album next, that's what
some journalists claimed (unfairly)

http://howisya.tripod.com/radiohead/index2.html
all the REAL information about the forthcoming album, i keep
it very up-to-date and accurate.

so to answer your question, i'd like to see all of the songs
in the above link recorded and released plus some more
extreme electronic stuff - did you know they nearly released
"like spinning plates" and other songs under a name OTHER
THAN radiohead? they decided that was a cop-out though. i
imagine they still have lots of unreleased stuff, i hope
they revisit it for the next lp.

i rather they got more into ok computor stuff... i mean they
had some good stuff with the last 2... but it wasnt
consistent...

i can listen to OK computor straight, and i get excited with
every song, because i like them all so much..

but with the newer ones... id say there are a fair share of
crap songs... i always skip tracks...

they were not meant to do IDM... they are a rock band...
thats what they do best...

but it isnt my decision... and what ever makes them happy

well I thought Kid A was amazing... but I mean, you can't
really expect a rock band to start into electronic music,
let alone IDM, and expect them to be perfect at it... that's
why I want them to continue, to see what they come out with
next... I think they were perfect with Ok Computer, so why
not try something else and perfect that...

true true...

but the last 2 just wernt as good as everyone said they
were... and it was annoying all the praise it got...

I dunno, I'd rather listen to Kid A then Ok Computer... I'm
more excited by electronic music now...

well,,, i rather listen to OK... because i am more
interested in electronic... and i find the new ones to be
very nieve and un sophisticated...

well what I personally like about Kid A is the mixture or
electronic with rock... personally I think that some of the
best music nowadays is mixtures of certain styles with
electronic music, not really pure styles if you know what I
mean... just my opinion though...

I wish for more stuff like kid A. Kid A is also lucky in
that it features the best CD cover of all time. I love
everything in its right place so much I taught myself to
play it on the keyboard and made a synth patch that sounds
exactly like the rhodes they used.

great of one...

i think kid a and ok computer are 100% consistent between
tracks, they flow so smoothly. the bends and amnesiac are
less cohesive but equal to each other in that regard.

i agree w/ funkmaster tho, i LOVE the sort of electronic
hybridization going on right now. a very awesome album
totally overlooked on this board is the recent one from hood
called 'cold house', it blends stone roses-style brit rock
with warp records style idm with some abstract rapping
thrown in from the 2 rappers of cLOUDDEAD.

i'd like them to do something great... whatever that is.

"Guitars yes, big wiry synths yes, Philip singing yes lots
of drumming yes."

as said by jonny freenwood himself recently... sounds
great.. phil singing!

and don't worry on the portugal and spain tour they'll play
mostly new material that will most likely be on the upcoming
album so... just wait for the tour bootlegs and you'll get a
preview of the lp6

I can shift the scroll bar really fast to slow down
Marlowe's avatar, but it's not practical because the pic is
shifting up and down, you know?

Oh yeah, Radiohead... erm... I want them to rip off OK
Computer, try to make something similar that rivals it.
Seriously... just because I want something else that rivals
it, and nothing can.

tee hee, what if they really did a "The Bends 2"? that'd be
a laugh riot!!

As long as they don't try a ''Pablo Honey: The Second Coming
(of Alt Rock Garbage)'', I'm happy!
