Here's the scoop. I downloaded A Clockwork Orange off of Soulseek. 700MB, pretty damn big. It's an .avi file.
Why the fuck, when I put it on Windows Media Player, is there NO VISUALS? There's the audio, but that's it. SURELY, with a 700MB file, there's more than just audio. And I just downloaded a Transformers episode earlier today that was only 90MB, and IT had visuals and worked fine...
For ACOrange, there's just this lightshow on WMPlayer... after waiting a couple hours, I was pissed.
What's wrong? Do I need some plug in or upgrade or different program? Something wrong with the file?
C'mon, I'm dying here? Haven't YOU ever had a strange urge to watch A Clockwork Orange at 2:30 AM? Help a brother out.

I can't remember if the Transformers was .mpg or .avi... does it matter? Do I need to do something different with an .avi file?

You probably need a Divx codec. Just search for one on whatever filesharing thing you have. I got mine on kazaa; it was pretty small, like 600k or so

I thoroughly enjoyed that masterpiece of cinema, but I found it a PAIN THE OL' GULLIVER that it skips sometimes, and my audio was out of sync by a half second or something. That's because I only have 64MB RAM, I'm getting more soon, praise be to Allah.
This .avi file had like 6 or 7 spots in the film where it just froze and I had to close the thing. All in the same spot... if I watch it again, I'll have to fast forward a second ahead of these spots, lest I feel rage. Still, didn't ruin the experience, NOHTING could ruin a Clockwork Orange!.
