for does who are not aware: trk 2 off Squarepushers Hard
Normal Daddy

...a song that has made me cry on a few occasions because
the melody is soooo forward moving -

it speaks to me of running away from things ...maybe you
broke up with somebody and you have to run from the pain of
it, i dunno..it's truly emotional and melencholic.....in a
surprising non-obvious way (unlike iambic 5 poetry, my
sound, etc

I love that song...
It's so cool to hear both of their styles packed in one song

I also like track#3, Rustic Raver, a lot. The weird
amplitude mod. on the amen breaks sounds so cool.

That's what got me into Hard Normal Daddy, but recently I've
been feeling the other tracks on it a lot more. Rustic
Raver is fking amazing, Male Pill, Vic Acid, Fat Controller,
Last Ram Dispute...what a great lp.

beep steet is quite a good track, but there are better ones
on hard normal daddy... (coopers world, papalon, e8 boogie,
fat controller, male pill pt. 13...) :)

yeah Iambic 5 is great.
I listened to that a lot when I had to move to Alaska, away
from my girlfriend (whom I loved very much)

"beep street" is pretty, though I don't think it's
particularly emotional. it makes me think of my
grandparents' house. the kick drum sounds really nice
though. so does that "pad" kinda sound. mostly it makes me
think of watching clouds.

yeah...beep street is my second favorite squarepusher song
next to my sound..
i totally agree with keyfumbler on the mood of the track...
it reminds me of driving in my car on a rainy day
i havent really listened to it for a little while
though...ive been giving it a break since listening to it
several times a day every day for like 2 months this
spring...

still one of my all time favorite tracks by anyone though

w00t! hurray for Ophecks! I'm getting Iambic 5 Poetry from
hsi as I type!

Beep Street, tho. That got me way into Squarepusher. of
course i'm out again, 'cept for a song here or there.

sometimes, like now, i listen to this track and i reckon its
possibly the best song ever, honestly, even better than
iambic 5 poetry. it just really haunts me in every way. if
you havnt heard it youre lucky i reckon, and if your
listenin to it then just be patient and enjoy. full marks to
squarepusher for crossing the boundries and blurring the
lines. a stunning tribute to music. a piece that will make
you think time and time again. possibly the least boring
piece of music ive heard.

no, the site is ok :)

i can say that 'Funky Drummer' and 'Tighten Up' samples
sound a bit like the first few seconds of BS, but only A
BIT... so i'm just curious to know... did Tom REALLY use any
of samples ?

Yeah, one of his best song clearly. I've got this song on my
cpu, underwater torch or something, that seems, if i
remember correctly, like the first version of iambic poetry.
Does it ring any bell?
