whats the technical legal penalty for downloading cracked
software or using someone elses serial? i mean the fact is
no one would ever really press charges i doubt to some kid
sitting around getting stuff off soulseek but what are the
laws really?

Jail - do not pass GO, do not collect $200!

I wouldn't of thought that the big software companies would
bother go after an individual - unless they wanted to make
an example!

Besides if you have legal software then you have nothing to
worry about - but then I guess you wouldn't of posted this
topic if that was the case!

Tell me about my spelling - I'm very interested in your
opinion!

Besides, people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones!

Spelling aside

I do know of a bloke at Oxford uni who got a "Cease &
Desist" from Sony because of his excessive P2P music
piracy.

(the fact the Sony had to get involved demonstrates the
slackness of OU computing services)

Most of my cracked software isn't corporation property
anyway - I'm shafting the small businessman even worse than
they are. Still, Fruityloops would cost a whole month's
dole money.
