http://www.countryreports.org/anthems/ with the world cup being on, I've heard a lot of anthems and I gotta say, theey all sound fairly similar and generally dull, but for some reason i love these two anthems > Italy..> Happy, triumphant Russia..> This is my favourite, really stirs the emotions like a half-litre of Vodka The British anthem sounds a bit funereal for my liking and the lyrics are a bit poncy. Anyone else got any views ? |

yeah weakling child , they're all nonsense but I'm talking about the music itself rather than the concept of nationhood. But the Russian one almost makes me want to BE Russian despite the 7 million reasons why being Russian would be a potentially fatal decision , its a great tune. |

I just like the melody, the music... I don't really pay much attention to words in anthems like these, but the music for your national anthem is very nice... O Canada is boring imo... |

i have to agree, that i like russias the best russian classical music in general is very awesome its got this feeling to it a feeling of grandness |
