I've listened to Anima Mundi

My review:
It sounds a bit like you're floating through space and
getting closer and closer to some dark planet...
I like the whole atmosphere. I think it could be a bit more
adventurous in the melody department, a little more contast
in the progression would be nice.

I've just downloaded vimh

My review:
More dreamy spacemusic.
I like this one even more than the other one. Nice
Mellotron-ish ahhh sound at the second half. The ending is
also very well done, it's like reaching your destination.
Good work!

I see you're studying Composition and Synthesis. Do you have
to know CSound and stuff like that? What's it like?

offline Zeus from San Francisco (United States) on 2002-06-21 00:32 [#00277517]
Points: 14042 Status: Lurker

yes, i will be learning csound

acctually i just finished my first year, which was all core
stuff...

ill be haveing my first synth classes this fall... and then
it snowballs from there..

LOTS of work ahead ... hehe

I found the link! contemplations on a riddle (top one) is an
excellent track in my unimportant opinion, sound quality and
composition is professionalish compared to other freeware
tracks. Makes me want to try reason. Great track but
probably just my preference, I'd change these: make it a
shorter track, get rid of the starting part since it's just
simple echoes. The track really sounds good and comes
together when the simpler more spaced out louder drum beat
comes in. Somewhat tri-rep I guess. The melody is great but
becomes slightly repetitive only because it lasts so long
probably. It sounded kinda weird when it all broke down to a
minimal part near the middle, probably could use some work
or something there to make it better in my opinion at that
part.
*gives back your car keys

Hey thanks man.

Yes, contemplations was written about 2 months ago. The
other one was written last week... so i think youll see some
development there... more changes and complexities.

By the way... i dont know if your mp3 player said otherwise,
but i changed the names.

The first one is now "Anima Mundi"
and the second one is "vimh"

just if you wanted to know..

anyways, yes thanks for all your feedback guys!

pretty nice...i really liked anima mundi
the beats were great

vimh was nice...i liked the old school feel
though it seemed to stretch on too long
would have been very nice if a little shorter

now see what i meant when i said you would get more
responses if you had a site??
