I saw them live not too long ago as well. Danny Carey is a
great inspiration to me, as a drummer. Everyone in the band
is very talented though.

was quite the show.

"Ænima" is one of my favorite albums of all time.

heh. have you seen his drum set? i've seen pictures of it
and he's surrounded by like fifty cymbols, hi hats, bass
drums, high toms, low toms, snare drums, etc.

Yeah, when I saw them live, he had it under a big black
tarp, and then when they were just about to play, he removed
the tarp and my jaw hit the floor.

Neil Peart is still the best drummer (imo)... he's from the
band Rush, and whether you like them or hate them, you can't
deny his amazing skill on the drumms... his drum set is also
amazing... he's surrounded by drumms... I have a live album
of theirs, and it's fantastic!!!

I dunno, Neil's very good, there's no doubt about that, but
from a drummer's standpoint, I think he;s just boring. Plus
he can't swing for shit.

to!! :)

i've been obsessively listeing to undertow lately. the
vocals are just so powerful. on bottom, after the henry
rollins (?) poem and maynard comes in, good God.

aenima is amazing. absolutely cannot go wrong with the bill
hicks (i'm going to make a movie about him some day) quotes,
and the "another dead hero" pic of him in the inlet is
brilliant. he just has this beautiful and haunting voice
(maynard, that is). got to see perfect circle at ... damn,
can't remember, somewhere in l.a. and it blew me away. i
don't go to hard rock concerts, but that was the most
aggressive bunch of kiddies i've ever seen. DIE EIER VON
SATAN!

For me Tool is one of the "real" best bands alive right
now....Maynard is definitely one of the best rock voices
too...This band is so impressive in their sound,I couldn't
believe my mind/ears the first time I listen to them...They
are so creative, musically, complex at the same time....No
band has ever done that kind of complexity in the sound,at
least not like Tool...

Man I thought I typed this earlier but I guess I signed out
before it even processed ( damn dial up- I seriously need
DSL)

Tool's drummer is a fucking beast....The band is great,
their videos are great, but I never got into them...I would
love to see one of their shows but not stressin it =)

Hey mi amiga afxNUMB,that's completely right, his drummer is
one of the best plus he makes the drumming so
complex,sometimes is difficult to follow...
And yes,it's difficult to get into them because of their
complexity in the music they make, they really are the modern
progressive rock band, still, they are really good in what
they do,no doubt about it..... :)

i LOVE TOOL......saw them at Red Rocks in August.....best
show EVER! i met Maynard who is MOST amazing, sexy,
mysterious and totally STRANGE. he was drinking cabernet
savignon!! he was SO NICE and well seeing them LIVE doing
PUSHIT and PRISON SEX, SOBER, STINKFIST.....OMG.....i was in
heaven!!

the drummer is so amazing, the video's they showed on the
back of the screen where maynard stands were so
disturbing.....i hope you have the DVD cos it seriously
RAWKS!

i tried to get tickets to see them in a SMALL venue in
Chicago, thats my dream. stadiums are cool but i want my
eardrums to DIE.....i want up close and personal!

CORTEX......i want tapeworm stuff too........i really hope
that comes out soon!!

i was able to get Henry Rollins to sign the Undertow
CD.......i love Flood and Bottom also!!

i saw APC with NIN about 9 times during the NIN Fragility
tour.....and APC twice on their own.

MAYNARD has the best voice in rock today.....unmatchable
IMO!!

Tapeworm, hmmm,I really hope Trent and Maynard get their act
together and relese that long-awaited project as soon as
possible, can't wait for that...I've been told they sound
very different than NIN,it's like a formula of them blended
together in a nice but hard sound, must be amazing having
both of them musically working together as well as
lyrics.......

any better than that!!! =)
