I was reading the other day about this female 'popstar' in Yugoslavia who's husband was a warlord who was murdered, and she dedicated a recent show to him. I was wondering, do you know who i'm talking about? and if so, is she popular?

Ceca, yes, her gig was attended by 114.000 peopole on saturday. Her husband was the know criminal, first a regular criminal, then a war criminal/ hero, depending on who's side you are taking. Her music and his business are a paradigm for Milosevic's serbia in the 90s.

I'm surprised they still want her around then given the fall of milosevic...is there much pro milosevic sentiment there? what happened to his son?

About his son: well, he is somewhere in the former USSR, some of the smaller countries, less interesting in asking questions to rich criminals. About that other thing: well, the thing is that the ruling coalition that overthrew Milosevic (they are called DOS: Democratic Opposition of Serbia) try to present this as a victory of progressive, europe-oriented, cosmopolitan, liberal etc. option, whereas in reality we still have a primitive, ill-mentality population. They suck Kostunica's arse the same way they sucked Milosevic's before etc. It's difficult to explain that all here, as it is very complicated and, even if i had more space, I'm not sure my english would suffice... But anyway, it's not that I'd rather see people raving about Britney Spears....

That Serbian warlord got finished off with a bullet in the eye - nasty! Robin cook is quoted as saying he lived a violent life so he not unexpectedly died a violenmt death. British understatment, don't you just love it.
