arrgh need topic for an essay on words...remember that I
need to use examples from Jane Eyre, Romeo & Juliet, The
Odyssey, and/or A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Stuff like "Words can be hurtful" but more insightful...End
of the year make-up assignment, please help!

words are music.

then go on to explain how diffrent styles of those storys
are written. ie iambic pentameter.

then explain how these words work in modern day in our
popular music.

then go on to explain how it's viceversa/ yin/yang on how
words need rythm, and rythm needs words.

just an idea. i'm not going to write ur paper for you, but
if you follow this path, or take a simular one...try to slip
in some aphex...and the word nanotech in there somewhere...

Once I was hurt when I came across laughable buthane bob.

Just kidding. I don't know what you are really asking for
but I certanly know that shakespeare was a twat and that he
used the words that had double meanings, since he was not
perfectly straight. Try to think whether other writers do
the same as he.

Try as we might, we can never get words to communicate
accurately the "transcendental signified".

"words are weapons, sharper than knives"

"words are meaningless and forgetable"

Yeah, some of his stuff was remarkably lowbrow. For
instance, I think at one point in either Romeo & Juliet or
The Merchant of Venice (can't remember which) he has
characters referring to a "pen" and a "ring", and these
words are being used as double entendres for the male and
female members respectively. Then Mrs Slocombe comes in and
asks if anyone has seen her pussy.

The pen is mightier than the sword. The sword is mightier
than a pair of scissors. Therefore, one might conclude that
the most efficient way to cut a piece of paper in half would
be to attack it with a pen.

However, scissors beat paper; paper beats stone; stone beats
scissors. Thus, one realises that there exists no linear
chain of superiority, and consequently no conclusions can be
drawn about words whatsoever.

Just take a paper an warp it around a rock, take two swords
and screw them together to make scissors, dip it all into
ink and attack the paper.
