Got Vinyl?

I'm looking for someplace online that sells vinyl of guys
like µ-ziq, Tosca, Aphex, etc.

I would prefer to pick the tracks rather than buy a whole
album of songs (especially if i'm only going to use 1 or 2
songs from the whole album)

Can anyone help out?

www.juno.co.uk is great
i get loads of stuff from there
it has a really good reputation too

do NOT use sisterray as it is rubbish and more than half the
records they list they havent got

if you're looking for something rather tricky, try hard to
find records

www.htfr.com

they'll even search for it for you, although i've not had
much luck with them and they're rather expensive

forcedexposure.com is one of the best place on the net for
this kind of music.

Okay so far most of these links suck.

forcedexposure only had CD's when it DID find the artist I
was looking for.

k7.com had Tosca, but only available in CD form

Warp only had Aphex Twin, but not a huge selection. Actually
it had none of the songs I was looking for.

htfr is loading slow as hell but i'm gonna check it out.

htfr seems fucked to me, i think its because they did a big
mail shot today with their monthly magazine (maybe)

try juno, i swear by it, they're so quick

Yes i want to buy just a few tracks. Its very possible too
if you know about vinyls.

Let me explain: A vinyl can hold about 9-10 min (max) per
side.

That means an avg of 2 songs can be fitted onto one side of
a vinyl (provided both tracks meet the length requirement)

So thats about 4 tracks per vinyl.

I dont want to purchase a whole album (ie: 10 tracks) when
all i want/need are 4. Its a waste of money.

So you want the songs you want specifically pressed onto one
vinyl for you?

there are a lot of vinyls that can hold a lot more than 15
mins per side, more like 25-30 mins. i prefer when a whole
album fits on a single record. i hate those 2lps, you
constantly have to get up to flip it, 4 times that is....

yet another reason why I prefer cds... they can fit around
80 minutes, are smaller, and give excellent sound!!!

or in the case of geogaddi, 2.5
or drukqs, 4 (2 at 45rpm and 2 at 33rpm)

warp are starting to take the piss, me thinks

but it's so much cooler to play a record. the feeling you
get when you put the needle on the vinyl. cooler, yet less
practical...

yes you are!!! :)

Well see, I do most of my listening out and about, meaning
in more then one place... the car, the computer room,
outside, walking around school, blah blah blah... records
wouldn't allow me to do that...

thats fair enough
i have twice as many records as cds and twice as many cds as
tapes so i never really get stuck for something to listen to
wherever i am
its lust i prefer to listen to music alone so i can
appreciate it more

and i like to watch the record go around, ive been doing
that for 25 years
