HEXAGONAL DOPE

offline manicminer from Paris (France) on 2002-06-10 14:21 [#00258290]

I remember a girl started posting on here a while ago who
went under the name "Hexagonal Dope". I also remember that
she was writing quite a lot of music, and a lot of people
liked it (I never actually heard any of it).

I just read in one of the other threads of her "famous
signing to Rephlex Records". Is this true? If so, how and
when did it come about?

I'm intrigued.....

my website is currently down, due to the suckiness of the
server (i can only have like 3 songs on at a time, and the
transfer limit makes the page shut down for an hour
everytime someone listens to a single song)

but i will have new one soon, and ill let you know when its
up! :)

hey peeps, c'mon can i be famous too? ive allready had two
releases. the first was a DnB peice released on a
raw42records compilation about a year ago called definative
1 - energised.

<"a href="http://www.42records.com">check it<"/a>
you'll have to search for the definative 1 - energised
compilation.

and the second was around the same time, a ambient peice
released in australia only through dump huck industries.
these guys basically put compilations together, run shows
here in sydney, and do all sorts of multimedia developement.
i may be getting an ep released through these guys later in
the year.
href="http://www.dumphuck.com/products.php?r=12#Beat%20&%20
Squelch%2004%20-%20Chansons%20d'amour%20pour%20mon%20robot"
check it<"/a>

anyway, just thought ide brag a bit. anyone else had any
releases? im interested in knowing.

im also about to release a vinyl with a few other guys. just
a self funded thing and im not to sure what the details are
as yet, but at the moment it looks like $100 each X 4, will
get us 4mins each on a 7" and we all get 50 copies to
sell/giveaway whatever. pretty cool heh.

I'm starting a record label with a mate of mine. It's got a
great name but I'm not telling you what it is. The first
release GHR01 will be a split CD-R of 3 tracks by me and 3
tracks by him.

Anyone with enough cash can press some records,..U best work
out a good plan before U invest time and effort in it.

Make sure U have distribution channels,..and take good care
when mastering,......low frequencies can cause bad masters
to return from the pressingplant. and you're money will be
flushed down the drain.

form of depression. Im NOT signed to rephlex (they never
replied). I am still doing music though, more than ever in
fact!

please accept my apologies for any past disrepectful
behavior. Im taking prozac now, which is really helping...

I dunno, maybe you can tell me B3n, do people in England use
Prozac at all? I know they're into it in the states but if
she's lying that she's from London (or in London) then
there's not much point in believing the rest of the post, is
there?

I'm all for forgiving people but it was a rather harsh
outburst of hatred and if she does it again I won't have any
sympathy.

don't be so unkind phatbert -- if she's sincere she should
be given infinite chances

why is that unkind? I don't want to have to pocket ultimate
hatred for no reason every now and then just because she's a
sincere person.

I can forgive her totally for what she has said if she
really was depressed. I mean, did you read all those posts?
They were desperate.

Anyway, as I said, if she's nice to us I have no problem
being nice to her.

i was the first to predict and diagnose her condition ages
ago! if she is sincere, then every chance and patience
should be given -- even if she breaks down and abuses us --
i don't mind - not up to me to judge her!!
