Thats pretty sik m9. Read: there is other great music out
there too. Best not to overdose on the RDJ when you could be
spreading your horizons.

i do have other music tastes... i have a total of 104 hours,
the second biggest bulk is radiohead, at 15 1/2 hours

i have a 56k, but my actual phone line is fucked up, so it
only runs at 28.8

yeh once you go to a fast connection u get impatient when
it's slightly slower and it's agony when you use dialup.

Do you actually own any AFX albums? or just MP3s...

Guessing at the time it must have taken to dl all that, I'd
have thought you could have saved yourself a lot of time &
hassle by just buying em....I'm as guilty as the next man
when it comes to MP3s etc but there's a lot to be said for
resisting the urge to "download the world" & building a
collection slowly....

Gives you time to enjoy the music when you haven't got 2000
tracks vying for your attention...I really wonder if you're
kinda losing out in a way...

i agree with jand in way. thats why i've started just
buying vinyl. on the other hand there's this feeling of
why not get all the music can for free. in the past 2monsth
i've down loaded 1500 songs from soulseek. I even
downloaded albums i already have just so i won't have to go
get the cd if I'm at my computer. i'm not proud

Well, I have a 56k connection and download probably one or 2
songs a week, and my collection is slowly building. It's not
limited solely to RDJ but is mainly ambient/trance/techno. I
find that downloading at this rate gives me a chance to
thoroughly understand and enjoy every song I download,
instead of downloading 50 songs a day and never getting
around to listening to them. If you're going to pirate
someone else's copyrighted music, you might as well do them
justice and listen to the tracks...

yeh jand's right you just don't have time to listen to
everything if you download all the time, i just keep writing
em to a disk and forgetting about them! I have about 300
tunes that i havn't listened to properly. it sort of spoils
it.
i only have 56k i just leave it running when i go to bed

alright
xlr=i have a second line
jand=i buy what i can, most of the stuff i download is rare,
i've purchased ...ICBYD, rdj album, come to daddy, druqks,
saw 85-92, and classics.

offline roygbivcore from Joyrex.com, of course! on 2002-06-05 16:46 [#00251022]

the only albums i could buy that i've downloaded are saw][,
51/13, surfing on sine waves and window licker. the rest is
stuff like, ab1-5, melodies from mars, promos, live stuff,
caustic window, gak, powerpill, bradley strider.

I've probably found about 20 BOC tracks on the net over the
last month but today I actually bought myself a copy of
MHTRTC , bloody fantastic I tell ya, I have most of the
tracks on mp3 but the quality is alot more consistent than
mp3 patchwork, it's also good to know that I might have put
a few pennies in their pocket, damm well deserved if you ask
me

yeah, i refuse to burn anyone any BoC, at least not a full
album, i gave a friend a mix once, because if anyone
deserves the money for it, they do.

Zephyr Twin I know what you mean. I got 56k as well and it
makes me very selective of what I take the time try or
download. I have still download hundreds of tracks though.
:)

"fucking get dsl

The best I can get where I live is through dial-up. I am
sure most people using dial-up do it because it's the only
thing available.
