According to a guy who works for Vital Distributions (
which distributes BoC in the UK) said that there is an EP
coming in september and an LP in januari.

Another guy said that it's rumoured that they will also
re-release Twoism in september.
Oh MY GOD !!! I hope this is true!!

Can somebody confirm this!!!

YAy BoC. I know I'm gonna sound ignorant but is Twoism one
of the albums they did back in the 80's?

and the trend is: their music is going downhill!!!

hehe, well I think it's too early to tell that... they're
only released two albums... and, Geogaddi isn't even bad,
it's fantastic... sure it mighten be quite as good as
MHTRTC, but MHTRTC is pretty much perfect, it's one of the
best, so to top that would be pretty hard...

offline marlowe from Antarctica on 2002-06-03 19:52 [#00248129]

MHTRTC i actually found quite captivating

geogaddi has its moment for sure, but it produces sleep a
little too easily for me :D

I'm still excited about new material, and after these next
two releases I'll decide whether I think they're going
uphill or downhill... it's still way too early for me to
say...

I cant imagine them getting worse, they will change a bit
more each time I hope, its a given that many of their old
fans will be stuck in limbo and hate Boards of Canada for
changing, but its all for the best, Geogaddi is better than
Music... simply for its clear production quality and the
1969 track :) the same amount of detail and emotion is
there, if not more.

its the whole hype that has destroyed some peoples opinions
of Geogaddi, too many were expecting a "Music Has The Rights
To Children 2"

According to the source quoted here at this link, a new BoC
EP will come out in September, a new album in January, and
Twoism may be re-released.

i looked at music70.com and why was Twoism not on there ?

offline hannibal from United Kingdom on 2002-06-13 18:15 [#00264604]
Points: 518 Status: Lurker

none of the releases pre-aquarius are at music70...cos
there's 'closes vol1' and 'acid memories' as well that i can
think of. it's a conspiracy. that or boc don't want people
pestering them for represses.

i'm thinking that these new releases will happen, but i'm
not getting my hopes up for soon, cos look what happened
with geogaddi. WarpComm was positively rife with new album
rumours for roughley a year.

Twoism was not officially released in the stores, that's
why.

joyrex-----------thanks...

i swear i saw that cd in the store a while back, it was
$9.99 and id had brail (symbols that deaf people can read)
on the cover, i swear it was twoisim

it had a light blue cover, if that helps

offline hannibal from United Kingdom on 2002-06-13 19:11 [#00264696]

sounds like a skam release - they have braille stickers on
all their releases (as far as i know). since twoism wasn't
on skam, was probably something else.

you might be thinking of hi-scores - the boc ep on skam.
that's in a blue card sleeve with picture of two women on
it.
twoism has a pic of two ppl with motorcycle helmets on i
think.

"That is Hi Scores released in 1996, not Twoism. The brail
on the cover says Boards Of Canada. Highly recommended.

Twoism (which is on vinyl only) features a white sleeve,
with two labels affixed to the cover in the upper right and
left corners, featuring the image from "The Killings At
Outpost Zeta" (the astronaut guys hugging) and the
tracklisting, which does not credit "1986 Summer Fire",
which is at the end of Smoke's Quantity(the last track) and
lasts 1:36. Twoism was not available in stores, and only
given to friends of the band. It was also BoC's first
professional release."-----JOYREX

MANY MANY MANY THANKS TO JOYREX !!
